Create a crossword puzzle using an on-line puzzle maker and the facts from the "Understanding Viruses" video.

Step 1: Use the notes that are in your science spiral.

1. Open GoogleDocs and start a new wordprocessing document.2. Type your clues in GoogleDocs. Use the following format: word, then the phrase that describes the word.

*****Use only one word answers for the crossword. The space designates the beginning of the clue.Single space your clues with no numbers.

Example: ebola The virus that causes a bleeding disease that can be fatal; found mainly in Africa.

Step 2:1. Go to puzzlemaker.com. 2. Choose crisscross puzzle.3. Choose a title. 4. Put 30 by 30 for width and height.5. Choose 20 for box size.Then:6. Copy your word/clue entries from GoogleDocs ; then move back to the puzzlemaker program and paste your clues into the clues box.Important:7. Try to get your puzzle to fit on one page by going in and looking into "Print preview". Remake the puzzle until it is only on one page.8. Do not print!!!! But (if you are on a Mac) go to "Print" and choose pdf from the lower left corner. Save as a pdf file. If you are the netbook (or a PC at home) click the "File" tab and then "Save as" and choose pdf.

If you are on a ChromeBook, select "Print" by choosing the printer icon on the top left menu bar - then go to printer and choose save as a pdf.

9. Submit (upload) this digital file here (on Canvas) for points.
