The Heritage Tree Project A unique feature to Trails & Trees is a scale representation of the United States! Strategically placed are over 20 trees that pinpoint a major U.S. city. Most of the trees come from the Famous and Historic Tree Foundation, which seek to preserve the environment and teach people about national heritage. While some of the trees’ stories do not match up with the expected location, nearly every tree has a unique history in correlation to their map location. Each tree is assigned a number that can be found on a marker adjacent to every tree and on the map.

The Heritage Tree Project

A unique feature to Trails & Trees is a scale representation of the United States! Strategically placed are over 20 trees that pinpoint a major U.S. city. Most of the trees

come from the Famous and Historic Tree Foundation, which seek to preserve the

environment and teach people about national heritage. While some of the trees’ stories do

not match up with the expected location, nearly every tree has a unique history in

correlation to their map location. Each tree is assigned a number that can be

found on a marker adjacent to every tree and on the map.
