Here’s A Preview of What We Will Be Doing

Explanatory Essay Example By A Student

The bright blue, purple, and rainbow colors, stylish fringe, spaghetti straps, and other fun styles, and moving designs dance before your eyes as the serene sounds of crashing waves fill up your ears, you can feel the soft cool air blowing onto you, or the emitting vibrations massaging your shoulders, these are only a few of the fantastic features the Shnazzirt withholds when you put it on. The Shnazzirt is a shirt that changes designs, styles, and colors on your command. It also contains many other cool features designed just for tweens. Futures Inc. influences tweens to buy Shnazzirts by meeting tweens’ emotional desires for fun, belonging, and power when tweens use the product.Futures Inc. influences tweens to buy the Shnazzirt by meeting tweens’ emotional desire for fun. Alexa Martin, the author of I Love Julia’s Product, insists that the Shnazzirt is fun: “The Shnazzirt can transform into any fun styles, designs, and colors with just the sound of your voice” (121). By changing styles, designs, and colors, you can wear any shirt of your choice. This is fun because it gives you variety. And tweens don’t like wearing the same, tedious clothing every day so by shaking things up a bit and being different, it makes things fun. Choosing from any color, design, or style of shirt is fun because it’s like going shopping, which is fun, but with even more variety. Therefore, by changing styles, designs, and colors, it meets tweens’ desire for fun.

Futures Inc. influences tweens to buy the Shnazzirt by meeting tweens’ emotional desire for belonging. Alexa Martin, the author of I Love Julia’s Product, asserts the Shnazzirt will provide tweens with a sense of belonging: “You can have your favorite celebrity’s face right on your shirt. If your friends also share this favorite celebrity, you can all wear that person’s face together on your Shnazzirts. You will be included, let’s say, in the Justin Bieber group then” (143). Because the Shnazzirt enables you to have your favorite celebrity’s face right on you shirt, you and your friends will all be able to wear the same thing, or in this case, person. And because tweens like fitting in, or belonging, wearing the same thing as everyone else would permit them to join that group, or to blend in with everyone else. This feature on the Shnazzirt is exclusively designed for tweens to provide them with a sense of belonging, and make them feel good about themselves as a result.

Futures Inc. influences tweens to buy the Shnazzirt by meeting tweens’ emotional desire for power. Alexa Martin, the author of I Love Julia’s Product, declares that the Shnazzirt makes tweens feel powerful: “the Shnazzirt contains a button that enables tweens to fly. They are able to choose where they want to fly and when, without anyone intervening and telling them what to do” (159). The button enabling tweens to fly on the Shnazzirt makes tweens feel powerful because they get to choose where they want to fly. Making decisions gives tweens the power to control something. And when tweens are able to control something by themselves, it makes them feel powerful. Being able to fly makes tweens feel powerful because they get to

choose where they want to fly and when. Therefore, the Shnazzirt meets tweens’ desire for power when they use the fly button.

In essence, by meeting tweens’ emotional desires for fun, belonging, and power when wearing the Shnazzirt, Future Inc. has produced a desirable product geared just for tweens. In order to manipulate people, whether tweens or adults, you first have to understand what they desire. Then, you can make money.

Explanation= Push to the floor

Conclusion= Choke

For the topic sentence you punch 1 hand forward because you will be discussing 1 of your 3 reasons to support your claim

Introduce evidence is a slice because it just seemed right

Evidence is a head butt because the evidence is very important to your argument just as your head is important to your body working correctly

The explanation is a push to the floor because it’s like “Bam! Let me tell you how it is!” Your explanation gets your opponent to the floor because you are explaining your argument clearly here and are therefore defeating him more.

The conclusion is the choke hold because you are squeezing the ideas in the paragraph together here.

Futures Inc. influences tweens to buy the Shnazzirt by meeting tweens’ emotional desire for fun.

Being able to fly makes tweens feel powerful because they get to choose where they want to fly and when. Body Paragraph 2 for YoplaitYoplait influences tweens to buy Go-Gurt by meeting tweens desire for belonging. Yoplait understands that kids are often on the go: “The concept positioning recognizes a tween’s world and lifestyle, and clearly communicates to the tween that this product is made for you and kids just like you. The name Go-Gurt focuses on the idea that this is yogurt you can eat ‘on the go’” (188). When someone understands you and makes accommodations to meet your needs, it makes you feel like family. When you feel like family, you feel like you belong to a group that cares about you. Yoplait has created Go-Gurt with the understanding that tweens do have busy lives and need to eat on the go because of this. Yoplait makes tweens feel like they belong because Yoplait understands that tweens need to be able to eat and do all of the fun stuff they like to do at the same time. Body Paragraph 3 due

Body Paragraph 3 for YoplaitYoplait influences tweens to buy Go-Gurt by meeting tweens’ desire for power. Go-Gurt is a product that you can squeeze: “eating yogurt from a tube, squeezing it out into your mouth” (187). You can control the amount of yogurt you put in your mouth with the power of your own hands when you eat Go-Gurt. You can slurp up a small amount at a time or you can consume the whole thing in one swallow. You can also control how you eat Go-Gurt: you can slurp it, lick it, or pour it. You can also control where you eat Go-Gurt. For example, you can eat it in the pool, you can eat it at the park, or you can eat it in the car. Control is power: if you have power over something, you can control it. Tweens get to have control over how and where they eat Go-Gurt, so it meets their desire for power. Tweens are influenced to buy Go-Gurt because their need for power is being met when they use and eat it.
