• For example, the grey signifier of the hoodie signifies that the character wants to be hidden, is mysterious and most likely of a young age.

• The character is running showing the denotation, this connotes that she is trying to get away from something or is perhaps in danger.

• The mise en scene of the characters bruised make up is the signifier that signifies she has been beaten up , badly treated and perhaps the reason why she is running away.

• The denotation of the train connotes the fact that the character is trying to get far away as quickly as possible.

• The characters facial expressions of her looking down with no eye contact signifies that she is upset, angry, fearful and emotional adding to the audiences knowledge of what she has been through.
