Mr. C. H. Velte served faithfully and efficiently as Superintendent of Crete Public Schools from 1919 to 1955. He gave unselfishly of his time and effort toward improving this community. In recognition of his many achievements and contributions, as a means of signifying our respect and affection for him, and with our best wishes for his future happiness, we, the Senior Class of 1955, proudly dedicate this annual to Mr. Velte.
