Spring is here or at least it is close enough. Things are starting to happen in March. The Wyoming
Chapter is having their first meeting of the year on March 17th in Casper. More information on that
in the Wyoming Chapter news page. The Western Wheels chapter will once again be organizing the
Sugar Valley Rally. Stuart Tritt is the chairman of the Sugar Valley Rally “SVR” and I will have more
information on that in next months Western Outlook. The Pikes Peak Chapter has a full schedule of
events so be sure to check out their chapter news. The Conestoga Chapter also has their schedule
out for 2018. A highlight I see on that Conestoga schedule is a tour of the Furniture Row Racing
Team facility. As many of you know the 2017 Nascar Champion, Martin Truex, is based in Denver and
the driver for the Furniture Row team. The tour is this month, March 22nd which is a Thursday. Deb
& Jay Hokanson have done a great job putting that together. Check out the Conestoga Chapter news
for more information. They just don’t open that garage to everyone but the local Studebaker club
will be welcome that day. Now is the time to get that Studebaker out of storage, air those tires, add
some fresh oil and enjoy the year!

After a valiant battle with
cancer, Conestoga member,
Dick Eichof passed away on
February 11, he died peace-
fully at home. Dick was a
retired Marine helicopter
mechanic and one of those
guys that could fix anything.
RIP Dick, you will be missed

The first meeting of the year will be held in Casper, March 17th which is also Saint Patrick's Day. We
will meet at Jim & Carol Harkins home which is located at 1561 Nottingham Drive in Casper. The pot
luck meal will be at 12 noon. The meeting will start after the meal which will include the election of
officers for 2018. We would like to have as many Wyoming Chapter members present as possible.
This first get together is also the Christmas In March. We are asking that ladies bring a women's gift
and men bring a men's gift of no more than a $25 value. Please have your gifts wrapped as the gift
exchange will be a Chinese Gift Exchange. This always a lot of fun!
We will be putting out ideas for future meeting here. Jim Rapp has all ready been working on the Fall
Colors tour. The tour will be based in Sheridan with more information to follow.
Hoping to see a lot of you in Casper!
