School Council Meeting A reminder to all councillors—there is a meeting this Wednesday 21st

October. We will commence at 7.30pm, allowing us some daylight to

look for a suitable container site in the school grounds.

Transition Camp—Lake Cullulleraine Tyler, Hamish, Indie, Jayden and Samuel all left for Lake Cullulleraine

this morning. We hope they have a wonderful week and make lots of

new friends. They will return home on Friday.

Garden Walk HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the Parents and Friends for their hard

work organising the Garden Walk on Friday. Everyone had a fantastic

time and enjoyed the beautiful gardens on the tour. There were visitors

from Mildura, Pinnaroo, Murrayville, Ouyen as well as our locals from

Walpeup and Underbool. There were lots of very favourable comments

heard throughout the day. The food at morning and afternoon tea and

lunch was beautiful—once again congratulations and thank you all.

RFDS—Dental Service A reminder to students and parents that the Royal Flying Doctor Dental service will be visiting the school tomorrow for check ups. If you have forgotten to return the consent form, please do so by 9am tomorrow.

Grade 3 & 4 Homework Grade 3 & 4 homework will be quite different this week. Students have a

magic trick to practise and present to the class on Friday. They also

have a small puzzle that it to be completed by Friday as well.

T20 Cricket Tournament Students in years 3—6 will be participating in the T20 Cricket at Black-

burn Park, Ouyen on Tuesday 10th November. Permission notice and

more information will be sent home as the date approaches.

Kinder Transition Program Kinder students who are eligible to start school next year will begin their

“Transition to Primary School” on Tuesday of next week. The program

includes this years Preps visiting the Kinder and then the kinder kids vis-

iting the school for varying lengths of time over a few days. We look for-

ward to seeing them at school.

Kinder Transition Program 2015

Tuesday October 27th

Prep school children and Joy will visit the Underbool Early Childhood Centre for

morning tea and a play from 10:00 am to 11:15 am. School children are to bring a

piece of fruit to share and a drink bottle.

Thursday November 5th

Children and Early Childhood staff will walk to UPS at 10:50am for a story in

Prep room followed by a play. (Kinder children will have fruit at kinder before

coming to school.)

The kinder children will have a look around the school before returning to the

Underbool Early Childhood Centre at approx. 11:30am.

Tuesday November 17th

Bree will bring the children to school at 2:00pm. Parents are to pick their child

up from school at 3:20pm.

Thursday November 19th

Parents are to take their child to school at 8:50am for the morning session and

lunch. Kinder children will need to bring food for a morning snack (play lunch)

and lunch, a water bottle and a hat. A kinder staff member will pick the children

up from school at 1:30pm and return them to Underbool Early Learning Centre.

Monday November 30th

Kinder children are to attend school for the full day from 9:00am to 3:20pm.

Please send a morning snack (play lunch), lunch, a water bottle and a hat.

A parent information session will be held at the school at 3:00pm on this day.
