2. Club Team Rules Entry to this event is restricted to Club Teams and each team must adhere to the following Rules & Regulations: -

1. Each Team will appoint a Team Manager who will be responsible for:

a) registration and entry of their Club Team. b) the entry and payment of 4 riders by close of Registration, 11:00pm (AEDT), Friday 16

February 2018. c) advising the Scoring Coordinator of a substitute rider to replace a nominated team

member who is unable to compete in the event due to injury. Note that any changes advised later that one hour prior to the commencement of racing may not be accepted.

d) the collation of each Club Team rider’s points. e) should the Team Manager disagree with the officially posted Team Results, a protest

must be lodged with the Scoring Coordinator within fifteen minutes of the posting of the official team results at the conclusion of the National Championships.

2. An entry fee of $150 shall accompany the Club Team Entry. Note; the entry fee is non-

refundable.

3. Each Team is to consist of four (4) riders drawn from the following classes only:

Age groups Class Bike type Any age class Male BMX 20” Any age class Female BMX 20”

Each Team must consist of 4 riders & a maximum of 2 female riders. The final results will be tallied from the four (4) riders submitted by the Team Manager prior to the event.

4. A rider may compete for a Club Team (where membership is held), State Team and a Corporate

Team, but not more than one (1) Corporate Team.

5. A maximum of one (1) Team may be entered per club.

6. Points will be awarded in each of the motos and the final (or 4th moto if applicable) as follows:

1st 20pts 5th 12pts 2nd 18pts 6th 10pts 3rd 16pts 7th 8pts 4th 14pts 8th 6pts

No points are awarded for results in eighth, quarter or semifinals. However, additional bonus points will be awarded to team members who COMPETE in an eighth, quarter, semi and/or dead-man final.

Deadman final 5 bonus points Semifinal 4 bonus points Quarter final 3 bonus points Eighth final 2 bonus points

These bonus points are cumulative i.e. if a rider competes in a semifinal and then a final, he/she receives 9 bonus points.

Examples

i. A rider who places 3rd (16 pts), 5th (12 pts), 2nd (18 pts), in the motos, and 7th in the deadman final (8+5 bonus pts) would finish with a total of 59 points.

ii. A rider who places 1st (20 pts), 2nd (18 pts), 1st (20 pts), in the motos, 2nd in the quarter final (3 bonus pts), 1st in the semi (4 bonus pts) and 3rd in the deadman final (16+5 bonus pts) would finish with a total of 86 points.

iii. A rider who places 1st (20 pts), 3rd (16 pts), 3rd (16 pts), 2nd (18 pts), in their 4 motos would finish with a total of 70 points.

7. In the event of a tie between Teams, the result will be decided by:

a) Greatest number of wins in the deadman finals b) Greatest number of points gained in the deadman finals c) Greatest number of bonus points d) Toss of a coin

8. Posting of Team Results will be announced shortly after the conclusion of the National

Championships. It is the Team Manager’s responsibility to check the posted results against their own calculation and to lodge a protest with the Team Manager within fifteen minutes of the posting should they disagree with the posted results. Failure to lodge a protest within fifteen minutes of the posting will result in the forfeiture to have any protest heard in relation to Team scores.

9. The winning team will receive the BMX Australia Club Team National Trophy to be presented

after Saturday’s racing at the 2018 BMX National Championships.

5. Any number of Teams may be entered by a Team Manager. However only the highest scoring

team’s points will count in determining place getters.
