Fiber Management

The 3M™ Fiber Distributing Frame RFO NG is the

latest generation of fi ber management, developed by 3M

specifi cally for small to medium fi ber count applications in

central offi ces, head ends, datacenters, remote huts, Multi-

Dwelling Units (MDUs) and building entrances.

The RFO NG system provides a very high-density

consolidation point of fi ber termination. Its modular

and totally integrated design allow you to easily expand

and grow fi ber management one block, one cassette

or one fi ber termination at a time to match the unique

confi guration, application and timelines of each customer.

The RFO NG system is composed of two major parts, the

3M™ RFO NG Fiber Cabling Block and the 3M™ RFO NG

Fiber Cassettes. The fi ber cabling block is a high-density

modular terminal block that features 12 individual hinged

metal trays to provide support and positioning of the fi ber

cassettes, routing of patchcords from the front (adapter) side

of the fi ber cassette, strain relief and coiling/storage of the

routing tube (for 250 µm fi ber management) from the cable

clamp kit. Each of the metal trays swivel independently for

minimal fi ber disturbance.

3M™ Fiber Distribution System RFO NG Fiber CassettesThe fi ber cassettes are the real heart of the system. They can support

many types of fi ber construction: cross-connect, interconnect and

optical components. They feature splice management (bare fi ber

coiling and splice holder for 12 mechanical or fusion splices) 900 µm

preconnectorized pigtail coiling and management area and an adapter

front plate for 12 SC/APC connectors (others upon request). The fi ber

cassettes swivel independently to easily enable access to the inside of

the cassette.
