Autumn – Winter 2013/14 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise. Heb 13:154:11

29 Sept–5 Oct

AlbaniaPray for Monika Qeremi and her faithful staff. Give thanks that MWB Albania blessed thousands of people this year: 288 families helped; 375 kids sent to summer camps; concerts for families; whole communities supported.

13–19 Oct

Bosnia-HerzegovinaRemember Dalibor Kojic and his team bringing the good news of Christ. This can be difficult because of ethnic differences and memories of recent conflict. Ask God to grant them wisdom and patience.

20–26 Oct

MoldovaTwenty one UK supporters are currently touring MWB’s work in Moldova. Ask for God’s protection, and to give each supporter a new vision for our work. Pray also for our new country manager, Anatolie Chinlov.

27 Oct–2 Nov

Urgent needsPlease pray for discernment for our teams addressing people’s urgent needs, which can vary from needs for basic food parcels to a community water pump or an industrial washing machine for a children’s home.

6–12 Oct

BulgariaPray for Sarkis Ovanesyan our country manager working with over 50 families enrolled in our Family Sponsorship. Pray he shows the love of God to those who sometimes are sceptical and mistrusting of the work done by MWB.

10–16 Nov

UkraineOur Ukraine country manager is Mykola Bogdanets. Please remember him as he seeks to influence this large country to trust in Jesus and to find unity and peace.

17-23 Nov

Christian RadioMWB’s programmes reach many thousands in Ukraine and Romania. We pray for those who prepare and deliver them – and that each broadcast touches people’s lives.

3–9 Nov

RomaniaRejoice with our manager Eugen Macavei that so many are coming to faith in Jesus, and give thanks for over 3,000 children and 300 families who are regularly assisted by MWB.

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise. Heb 13:154:11

1–7 Dec

Community CentresOur community centres offer a vital means of survival for the most vulnerable. We partner with many local churches to provide food and occasionally medical care. Pray for these partnerships, centre leaders and volunteers.

8–14 Dec

Child sponsorshipMany children are abandoned as their parents emigrate to find work. Thank God for all our supporters sponsoring children both in orphanages and in community settings. Please pray for more sponsors.

15–21 Dec

Gifts in Kind (GIK)We receive goods from UK companies, which we send on to the six countries where we work. Thank God for these gifts and their cost-effective use for people who need them. Pray that GIK will continue to be donated.

22–29 Dec

The King is here!Praise God for the Christmas message: “This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” (1 John 4:9)

29 Dec–4 Jan 2014

Joy, hope and peace Christmas is often a time for families to come together. Please remember those who are without family, and who may be lonely and cold, especially the elderly.

24–30 Nov

Operation Christmas LoveThis is our busy time as both local co-ordinators and volunteers pack over 30,000 Operation Christmas Love boxes with vital food and necessities. Pray for energy to pack and deliver each box and for God’s blessing on each family receiving them.

Vocational TrainingWe long to provide more Vocational Training courses to give young people hope for the future. Thank God for all the courses we can currently offer. Pray that each student benefits from what they learn.

16–22 Feb

Street MercyPray for our staff and volunteers undertaking this exhausting and demanding work. Pray for their protection as they offer food and support to the homeless, and for people suffering from addictions to alcohol or drugs.

2–8 Feb

Bible Correspondence Course (BCC) As well as meeting physical and material needs, MWB offers opportunities for people to meet Christ personally. Pray that as children take their BCC many find new life through studying the Bible.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Cor 13:14)
