TODAY’S PREACHER Rev Don Wong is the Founder and Executive Director of The New Charis Mission and is one of the founders for the Association of Christian Halfway Houses (Singapore) where he is now serving as the Vice-President. He is also one of the seven chaplains of Prison Fellowship Singapore (PFS). He has received many recognition/awards from various government agencies over the years. Married to Vanessa, they have two children, Vivienne (19 yrs old) and Daryl (17½ yrs old).

3. BLESSED FATHER’S DAY WE THANK GOD for all fathers (& those involved in fathering), and commit them to God’s love and protection.

4. CALEB85 CORNER meeting will resume on Wed, 28-Jun.

8. HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES Our heartfelt condolences to our members, Mr Tan Meng Dui & Mrs Cecilia Tan, their mother/mother-in-law, the late Mdm Ho Tok Lang returned to the Lord on 7-Jun-2017. Please pray for God’s peace and comfort upon the family during this period.

9. STAFF MOVEMENT Mr Rufus Chan will leave us at the end of June to pursue a Master of Divinity at Trinity Theological College. He has been faithfully serving as a Pastoral Staff (Youth Ministry) for the last 5 years. We take this opportunity to thank him for his service and also to bless him as he leave for his studies. Christopher Chng who joined us on 1-Jun will be our Youth Ministry Pastoral Staff.

Ms Parmjit Kaur, who joined us in 3-Jan-2017, will be leaving us at the end of June. Though her stay with AMC was short, she developed close ties with the Intercessory and Prayer Ministry teams and members of AMC. She has sensed that her passion is in the inner healing ministry rather than the intercessory one and we wish her the very best in her future endeavours.

10. BETHANY METHODIST NURSING HOME—PEACE WARD VISIT The visit is on Sat, 24-Jun from 9.45am to 11am. Volunteers are needed. Interested, please contact Walter Lee @ 9871-5774.

WE BRING BEFORE OUR FATHER (Prayer concerns for this week, 18-Jun-2017)

1. OUR WORLD Pray for the 800,000 people displaced after heavy rainfalls in Sri Lanka,

and Cyclone Mora in Bangladesh destroyed their homes and businesses.

Most are staying in impoverished appalling conditions.

2. OUR NATION Pray that we can do more to help the underprivileged and the sick.

Pray for caregivers, who are often forgotten, as they look after loved ones

who are sick, handicapped or elderly.

3. CHURCHES AROUND DOVER & PARTS OF BUONA VISTA Pray for God’s blessings over the following churches:

Holy Covenant Chinese Methodist Church @ Fairfield Methodist (Secondary); Faith Methodist

Church @ Anglo-Chinese Junior College; Living Waters Methodist Church @ ACS Independent;

St John’s St Margaret’s Church; New Creation Church; Ebenezer Church @ ACS Independent

and Immanuel Congregation (of the Church of South India) meeting at SJSM.

4. OUR CHURCH Continue to pray for good fruits from the work of our AMC Mission trippers

in Timor Leste and Cambodia.

5. MISSION - Missionary Mr David Chan

Please pray

For good health for David, Jessie, Isaac, Joy and Isaiah.

For successful fundraising efforts; funds will be used for the Methodist

School in Timor Leste.

That God will provide the needed resources for the school's building

project.

For the students in the Methodist School to grow in wisdom and stature,

and in favour with God and man.
