Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification. This Addendum consists of 7 pages. Bid date is unchanged. ALL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED EXCEPT AREAS NOTED BELOW IN BID FORM.

1. There are multiple references to crossing repair within the document. This project is for railroad tie replacement only. Any references to crossing repair do not apply.

2. Please replace Section 4.00 SCOPE AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS with the attached new Section 4.00. These technical specifications shall take precedence over any other technical specifications provided in the original bid documents.

3. 5.02 QUANTITIES

Bidder understands that the quantities listed on the Proposal are approximate estimates only, and that actual amounts required may be less or more, and proposes for the lump sum bid price to do the work in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Bidder must determine for himself the scope of work that will be required, by such means as he may prefer. Per 4.04, there will be up to 1,500 crossties to be replaced.

In the event work is added to or deleted from the general scope of the project, the above quoted unit prices shall be used to adjust the lump sum bid price in accordance with the General Conditions, Section 2.30.

4. Estimated completion date to be April 30, 2018.

5. 1.18 SUBCONTRACTORS

Bidder shall, as part of the Proposal, submit a list of all subcontractors and whom he proposes to contract, and the class of work or equipment to be performed or furnished by each. equipment and materials suppliers must be KYTC prequalified. This will include the rail, ties, spikes, anchors, etc. for RR, as well as, Dense Grade rock, pavement material, striping, all materials which become permanent to the crossing location. Such list may not be added to, or altered without prior written consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to approve or disapprove any and all subcontractors and equipment suppliers and no subcontractor or equipment supplier shall be permitted to participate in any way in the project unless he is listed in bidder's Proposal or in a subsequent written statement approved by the Owner.

Bidder shall not under any circumstances be relieved of his liabilities and obligations. All transactions of the Owner shall be with bidder. Subcontractors shall be recognized only in such capacity.
