Heavy duty Roto-Peen offers a cost-effective, convenient, portable,alternative to conventional blasting. The media is confined to therotating hub, and the only debris that is generated is the coatingitself. A 1 to 3 mil profile is left behind (Satisfying SSPC SPEC.11). Onconcrete it simulates a shot blast finish.

The hammer hub performs like a high speed needlegun. Thehammers rotate and when they strike a surface they fracture offcoatings in a forgiving nature and at a high removal rate. A randomprofile is left behind but does not satisfy the high standards of SSPCSPEC.11. By design the hammer hub takes a beating and is long lasting.

The cutter hub is by far the most aggressive of the afore mentionedhubs. It doesn’t peen the surface (Roto-peen), it doesn’t impact theSurface (Hammer hub), it cuts! The cutter hub is very effective onelastomeric coatings, mastic, carpet glue, scarifying concrete, Non-Skid removal, and when nothing else seems to work. The cutter hubcomes in two models (Regular 100.007 and extra long 100.008)Reload (100.060) for Reloadable Hub.

The pneumatic wheel accepts a wide variety of abrasive belts from24 grit all the way down to 80 grit. The pneumatic wheel turns theMini-flushplate into dust free belt sander. Use for coating removal,milling, or grinding.

A specially designed wheel of soft pliant 3M surface conditioningproducts enables the Mini-flushplate to clean irregular wood shapeswithout damaging the architectural integrity of the piece that isbeing cleaned. Ideal for wood mouldings, window sash and door jambs.

80 hours on metal surfaces and 40 hours of continuous use on concrete.A full flap reload is 120.028 Type C, 121.015 Type D.

120.026 This cutter hub is by far the most aggressive of the hubs. The Kung-Foocutter hub with its 144 sharp cutters is very effective on elastomericcoatings, mastic, carpet glue, scarifying concrete, Non-Skid removal, PRC,coatings, epoxies, and high solid coatings. The Kung-Foo cutter hubworks as well on concrete as it does on metal surfaces Life expectancy: 4to 6 hours on metal surfaces and 1 1/2 to 2 hours of use on concrete. Areload is made up of 144 cutters (800.983). The 48 spacers (550.405)that come with the hub are reusable with the reload cutters. The 8 pins(120.055) should be replaced every third or fourth time the cutters are changed.

120.024 Heavy-duty general hub, is used for non-skid removal. The blunt nature ofthis cutter allows for heavy coating removal with minimal damage to thesubstraight. The hub is made up of 24 cutters (800.058) and 4 pins(120.055). The pins should be replaced every three to four times thecutters are replaced. Life of the cutter is 6 to 8 hours removing non-skid.

120.021 The BPH hub is a specially designed wheel of pliant surface conditioningproducts that enables the Descobrader to deep clean pitted steel due tocorrosive effects. Its characteristics allows it to deep clean withoutremoving metal and meets the requirements for SSPC Spec 11. The BPHhub can be substituted for any applications where a wire brush would beused. A replacement abrasive wheel is 5 1/4” X 7”. (170.023)

120.030 The hammer hub is extremely effective on heavy rust scale, thin set andoverlays. When the hammers strike a surface they fracture off coatingsand scale in a forgiving nature and at a high removal rate. By design the hammer hub takes a beating and is long lasting. There are 28hammers (800.094), 28 spacers (550.405) and 8 heavy duty pins(120.055).

Conditioning discs are designed not toremove substraight. Aggressive enoughto remove rust ,stains and contaminates,yet “soft” enough not to leave scratcheson feathered coatings.

Coated abrasive discs are for rapidcoating removal when going to baremetal. Some substraight is removed,which serves as an anchoring pattern forthe new applied coatings.

The DescoRip Disc is a 16 grit opened faced grinding disc. Especially effective forthe removal of coatings off of concrete. Diamond discs when used to do edge worktend to polish aggregates. The DescoRip disc leaves the same edges with a roughensurface ready for a new coating application. Approximately two hours of continuoususe on concrete surfaces. They can also be used on stubborn coatings on metalsurfaces. The DescoRip with all of its advantages is also value priced.

The LX-80 Gun is available in either a two or four finger triggerconfiguration. The LX-80 includes features like TungstenCarbide ball valves and seats, stainless steel ball bearing swivelfor wear resistance and durability. An in handle filter is includedto reduce clogging and increase tip life. The LX-80 comesstandard with a 517 SC-6 Reversible Tip and Guard, is rated to3600 PSI and weighs only 20 ounces.

The SGX-20 Gun features all metal construction with allstainless steel fluid passages. Other features of the SGX-20 Gunare Tungsten Carbide ball valves and seats for wear resistanceand durability, an easy two finger trigger pull. The SGX-20 Guncomes standard with a 517 SC-6 Reversible Tip and Guard, israted to 5000 PSI and weighs only 20 ounces.

Extended Reach Tools

These Airless Gun Extensions are available in sizes from 3" to24" and can be adapted to be used with most airless sprayguns. These extensions are a great help getting to those hardto reach places. All of these extensions are pressure rated to5000 PSI.

High Performance Fluid Hose

These high quality airless hoses are highly flexible and kinkresistant. The outer skin is an abrasion resistant urethane,which is bonded to an inner nylon braid making an extremelydurable airless hose. All hoses have spring guards on bothends and have a conductive tube design for propergrounding. These hoses are rated to a 3300 PSI workingpressure. 25 feet of hose only.

Airless Tips and Guardsthe SC-6 Reversible Tip is designed for quick and easy tipunplugging. To clear a tip plug, simply reverse the tip assemblyfrom spray to clean and pull the trigger. It’s that easy! With all ofthe SC-6 Reversible Tips, you can switch from one size toanother without the use of tools. Some other great features areall of the SC-6 tips are hand tight and need no tools and theguard is constructed of a patented conductive polymer to helpprevent static discharge.

This tip is a great addition to any painters tool box. TheAdjustable Self Cleaning Tip can give the painter to control thefan width from 2" to 22" and unclogs easily with a twist of thetip. All of the wear parts are made of Tungsten Carbide and areavailable in orifice ranges from .005 - .015 to .021 - .054. TheAdjustable Tip is rated to 3500 PSI

Flat Airless Spray Tips represent the largest selection of anygroup. Tip flow rates are available from .06 GPM to over 5.75GPM with fan width from 2 to 24 inches.

FEATURES /SPECIFICATIONS

The Bullnose grinder uses a threaded cupwheel for trueness but can take a conventionalcup wheel with center nuts.

Bullnose floating shroud fits most 4” and 7”grinders. Adapter kits are available for most grinders.

The nylon brush (200.010) is the onlycomponent that shows wear on the shroudand is replaceable at a nominal cost. The nylonbrush also allows the grinder to operate dustfree over uneven surfaces.

The DescoRip disc (200.017) is the perfectapplication for Mastic and heavy coatingremoval. Excellent when a roughened surface isrequired. Low cost substitute for a diamond cup wheel.

The DescoRip Disc is a 16 grit opened faced grindingdisc. Especially effective for the removal of coatings offof concrete. Diamond discs when used to do edgework tend to polish aggregates. The DescoRip discleaves the same edges with a roughen surface ready fora new coating application. Approximately two hours ofcontinuous use on concrete surfaces. WarrantyDesco tools have been carefully tested and inspected before shipment and are warranted to befree from any defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6 months from date of pur-chase. Should trouble develop, return complete tool prepaid to Desco Mfg. Co., Inc. If inspec-tion shows defective material or workmanship, Desco will repair the tool without charge duringthe warranty period. Proof of purchase may be required. This warranty does not apply to nor-mal wear and tear, and does not cover any damages caused by careless or unsafe handling,alteration, accidents, misuse, or repair attempted or made by personnel other than DescoManufacturing Company.
