MODERN DAY SPIRITUALISM: SATAN’S
GREAT DECEPTION
1. What warning did Jesus
give to His disciples
concerning the last days?
Matthew 24:24
“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and
wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:24
2. Who is behind these deceiving
spirits and demons?
Revelation 16:13, 14
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
Revelation 16:13,14
Any religious form that involves contact or communication with the dead is referred to as spiritualism. The dragon, beast, and false prophet are all involved in the deceptions created by spiritualism. The dragon, which represents Satan (see Revelation 12:9), influences and gives power to the beast and the false prophet to bring spiritualism into Christianity.
3. Will there be false teachers even
among Christian groups?
(2 Peter 2:1)
“But there were also false prophets among the people,
even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring
in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought
them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”
2 Peter 2:1
4. Can ministers professing to be
Christians be Satan’s
representatives instead?
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministersalso transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.”

11. Who did Saul seek when he wanted to
speak with the prophet Samuel,
who was already dead?
(1 Samuel 28:7, 8)
Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor." So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. the earth.’ So he said to her, ‘What is his form?’ And she said, ‘An old man is coming up,
and he is covered with a mantle.’ And Saul perceived that it was Samuel,
and he stooped with his face to the ground and bowed down.”
