The incident could set off a bigger row as the decision comes just as a high-level delegation of EU parlia- mentarians, including two senior most members of the European Parliament in charge of relations with India, Mr. Geoffrey Van Orden, and Ms. Neena Gill, are in India for official meetings and to address trade ties that have been lagging in the past year. Officials confirmed that the Ministry of External Affairs had informed the EU, headquartered in Brussels, some weeks ago that the Prime Minister would be travelling to Hannover in Germany and later to France in April, and sug- gested holding the EU- India summit during the visit. However, after receiv- ing no reply from the EU for a month, the MEA has decided to continue with the plans without Brussels on the Prime Minister’s agenda. He will now con- tinue from Europe to Canada for the second leg of his eight-day tour. ‘Working on dates’ In a written response to a question from media on the issue, the EU however, said it was still working on dates for the summit. "The EU is keen to have a Summit with India and is looking for a mutually con- venient date which would allow for sufficient prepara- tion,” said Cesare Onestini, Chargé d'affaires for the European Union delega- tion. Mr. Onestini also pointed out that other exchanges on issues including cyber security, science and technology are ongoing, adding “pend- ing an agreement (on dates for the summit), high level visits continue to take place.” A senior diplomat from an EU nation countered the contention that there was “any snub intended” and said that their understand- ing was that India had sent its request for the EU-India summit and it proposed only one date for it in April. “Given the time that we had to prepare, we were unable to fix the date as per the government's con- venience,” he added. MEA officials, however, said there was absolutely no response from the EU. The incident has taken on a more political tone as reports suggest that the EU’s unusual behaviour reflects anger over the treatment of the two Italian marines charged with the killing of Indian fishermen off the coast of Kerala. In a very strong resolution, led by EU Foreign Affairs High Representative Federica Mogherini in January 2015, the European Parliament had accused India of a “serious breach of human rights”, demanding that both marines, one of whom is convalescing in Italy, be repatriated. The resolution was rejected by India. A senior diplomat from an EU nation countered the contention that there was “any snub intended” and said that their understanding was that India had sent its request for the EU-India summit and it proposed only one date for it in April. “Given the time that we had to prepare, we were unable to fix the date as per the government's convenience,” he added

In 1921 Mahatma Gandhi turned IndianNational Congress into a mass movementof the aam aadmi of India wanting free-dom from the British rule In 1925Communist Party of India was formed forthe welfare of aam aadmi as communismswears by the common man. In 1951,Syama Prasad Mookerjee founded JanSangh which was reborn as BhartiyaJanata Party in 1980 to look after the wel-fare of Jan or the aam aadmi of India. In1977 Janata Party was formed under theleadership of Loknayak JaiprakashNarayan to look after the welfare of theaam aadmi as janata is another name foraam aadmi. The entire political spectrumof India from extreme right to extreme leftis the champion of the aam aadmi. So justbecause a newly formed political partycleverly names itself Aam Aadmi Party, does it necessarily mean that in the entirepolitical spectrum it is the biggest champi-on of the aam aadmi? It is one thing tohave good intentions but it is quite anoth-er thing to have the capacity to implementthem. It takes a long time for a politicalparty to organize itself internally as intra-party politics has to be balanced before anew party can engage in inter-party poli-tics. Politics has got its own rules whichhave to be followed by everyone. Anyoneproclaiming that he is entering politics tochange the rules of Politics is either fool-ing everyone or fooling himself becausepolitics is the plain and simple struggle to

achieve power. Power corrupts andabsolute power corrupts absolutely. Beingthe generator of corruption politics cannot end it. It can only channelize it for thewelfare of maximum number of people.Entering politics to remove corruption islike entering a coal-mine to remove black-ness. Aam Aadmi Party was born out ofAnna Hazares struggle for the eradicationof corruption and has ended up as thepassport for free water and electricity.Highly educated youth working as topexecutives in corporates joined AamAadmi Party to change the system butwhat future do they have when theirpartys power politics is displaying all thesymptoms of the system they had set outto fight? If we will want everything for freethen how will our economy run? If we willwant cheap food then who will look afterthe farmers needs? If we will want cheapelectricity then who will look after the peo-ple involved in the production of electrici-ty? Bringing water to the tap of a commonhousehold requires a lot of work. If we willwant free water then who will pay for thework done to bring it into our taps?Instead of wanting a Government that willgive us everything free we should want agovernment that will boost the economyand give us an opportunity to increase ourincome. Aam Aadmi Party has made amockery of the post-independence politi-cal process of modern India by projectingitself as holier than the rest when in reali-ty it is just one of them!

    country and politics

In the wake of financial requirements of non corporatesector of the Country, the Union Finance Minister Mr.Arun Jaitley in this year's budget has announced cre-ation of a separate financial system to provide financesto non corporate sector under "MUDRA" and has provid-ed a budget of Rs.20 thousand crores. TheConfederation of All India Traders (CAIT), who was rais-ing this demand since a long time, has complimentedPrime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Finance MinisterMr. Arun Jaitley for this landmark initiative taken by anygovernment for first time in last 68 years postIndependence. The CAIT has said that this step of theFinance Minister will go a long way in financial inclusionof non corporate sector which was so far grossly neglect-ed by successive Governments. The CAIT has said that MUDRA will be a potential gamechanger and will strengthen non corporate sector. TheCAIT has hoped that Finance Minister will bring a Bill incurrent session of the Parliament for enactment ofMUDRA. CAIT National President Mr. B.C.Bhartia &Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal told thatMUDRA will directly benefit traders, transporters, truckoperators, SMEs, Hawkers, Self-employed and variousother sections of non corporate sector. It will facilitateeasy availability of loans to this sector which was so farnot available by core banking sector. As per the Press Brief of the Ministry of FinanceDepartment of Financial Services the MUDRA brings outidea for funding micro businesses. As a bank to beestablished under a new law, MUDRA will register, regu-late and refinance all small business finance institutions. It will partner state level and regional level coordinatorsto enable them to provide refinance to Last MileFinanciers [LMFs] of micro businesses.

20 Thousand crore Mudra inbudget will be a game changer Biggest champion by aam aadmi

In the ongoing Cricket world cup, the Indian fastbowlers have pitched the balls at an accurate lengthfollowing an off-middle stump line at a very good andconsistent pace. If India also fields well, it will not besurprising if this team retains the World Cup. If theykeep two slips and pitch the ball where they are doingnow, the Australians can be beaten with the addedsupport of R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. MahendraSingh Dhoni is a calm captain but Jadeja is a very coolcricketer. There was a time when Ramakant Desai used to beour main pace bowler. Thereafter, came Kapil Dev,Manoj Prabhakar, Madan Lal and Bishen Singh Bediwho deceived Gordon Greenidge, perhaps the bestbatsman at that time. Sir Richard Hadlee has alsopraised the Indian fast bowlers. India will only need towatch Australia and New Zealand who are playinggood cricket right now. A former Pakistani player right-ly said on television that South Africa are playing withtwo teams, one that bats first and excels and the otherthat chases and fails. Their performance has not been consistent but mayspring a surprise. New Zealand is a beautiful countrywith good fields and very healthy people. You justneed to sit at the city square at Auckland and enjoythe game and later visit a pub to enjoy good chilledbeer and camaraderie. Earlier, you could bring afriend on board but the ISPS has imposed a restrictionon it. Littleton is also a beautiful port. They have aPhillipino bar near the gate. I had relieved all my boysto go there, one young fitter was on board. This boywas looking at the bar very eagerly as I asked him, willyou like to go? He then went to the bar after getting anod from me. I cannot forget his face. Littleton alsohas a good hospice shop from where we picked upgood wear by paying one dollar a piece.

Berlin: Muslim women teachers in Germany can wearheadscarves in class as long as it does not cause disrup-tion in the school, Germanys top court said in a rulingthat may fuel debate about what some nationalist groupssee as creeping Islamisation. The Constitutional Court reversed its own initial 2003ban on headscarves for teachers, which had led someGerman states to forbid Muslim headscarves in schoolswhile permitting the use of Christian symbols such ascrucifixes and nuns habits. The court in Karlsruhe, rulingon a case brought by a Muslim woman blocked from ateaching job because of her headscarf, said religioussymbols could only be banned when they posed not justan abstract but a concrete risk of disruption in schools. This is a good day for religious freedom, said VolkerBeck, a lawmaker from the opposition Greens. Heargued that headgear worn by devout Muslim, Jewishand Christian women and men was less of a threat toGerman society than opponents of diversity such as theright-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD), neo-Nazis andextremist Muslim Salafists.Christine Lueders, head of the federal anti-discriminationagency, hailed the ruling for reinforcing religious free-dom in Germany. With education administered byGermanys 16 states, she called on local authorities toreview the relevant rules.

Rescue teams searched for survivors in the rubble after afactory collapsed in Bangladesh, killing at least seven peopleand sparking fresh criticism over the country`s appallingrecord on workplace safety. Hundreds of soldiers and emer-gency personnel worked through the night to clear debrisfrom the site of a half-built cement factory in the port town ofMongla, the area`s top administrator Shah Alam Sarder said.Twelve people were plucked alive from the rubble overnightbut rescuers, who were using two cranes as well as steel cut-ters, were having to work painstakingly slowly for fear of trig-gering a fresh collapse.Six bodies have been recovered so far and another could beseen lying under the rubble. At least 53 people were injured, including six whose conditions were critical.More than 90 staff were on the site when the structure start-ed to cave in on Thursday afternoon, trapping scores of work-ers under a mass of newly-mixed concrete and steel. We`retrying to reach the (seventh) body by cutting through a mazeof steel but it`s taking hours because any mis-step could trig-ger a collapse in the debris or on the other side of the facto-ry which is still intact, fire department director SheikhMizanur Rahman said. Local police Chief Jahedur Rahman told that up to 10 peopleremained unaccounted for. However the fire service doubtedwhether any more workers would be found, saying that morethan 80 percent of the debris had now been cleared.
