16 days of tweetism - a bell bajao project

To promote 16 days of activism that falls in November every year Bell Bajao asked us to come up with a campaign that would result in increased buzz for them and more interaction from old and new followers.TRANSCRIPT

#16dot The 16 day campaign
The Brief • Create a campaign around the 16 days of activism that
takes place globaly every year in November"• Use it as an opportunity to increase our twitter following
and influence"• Create buzz around Bell Bajao"
The idea • Create a special hash tag - #16dot – 16 days of tweetism • Reach out to social influencers and bloggers and
encourage them to tweet and retweet using this hash tag during the period
• On the Bell bajao blog write 16 posts about various domestic violence related subjects and post links on twitter for readers to follow to the blog
• Post tweets everyday for 16 days, sometimes up to 4-5 a day
• Give away special t-shirts printed for #16dot to followers on twitter and even allow them to download a badge they can post on their facebook profile pic for the period.
• Use facebook to drive traffic and buzz as well

The results • During the 16 day period we aimed for 800 tweets
mentioning #16dot but fell short by a small margin. We got in total 657 tweets.
• But our tweet Vs retweet pie was pretty amazing. About 50%
• Twitalyzer showed that the campaign had an effective reach of 4911 users
• We added lots of new followers on twitter and the resulting buzz greatly improved our social influence clout online
