PHILOSOPHY A continuation course of Introduction to Technology aimed at extending and enhancing the students’ computer knowledge for use in either the world of business or their academic environment. Students will work through a variety of business/academic software applications that include desktop publishing, database, advanced presentation, and web design. This course is a more “project oriented” class then the Intro to Technology class. The students will learn each software package by doing step-by-step lessons but will then conclude each segment by doing a related project. By doing each software application in this manner the students will apply their knowledge into a real life and practical situation. The students will also develop a knowledge of how the different applications will apply to the courses they are currently taking or plan on taking in the future at Dumont High School.
