    y Background :

y Visible Light Communication system(VLC)y Combined system with LED Lighting & Communication

    with some advantages as

    < lighting device>

    y low power consumption

    y longer lifetime

    y small size

    y etc

    < communication device >

y Visible LED light has higherpower than IR wireless comm.

    y New Green comm. Tech.

y No EMI/EMC to human body

    +

y Demand of VLC applications (Multimedia services,P2P

service etc.) require more increased (high) data

    transmission

    y Application example :

yMobile to Mobile Service (P2P) usingBluetooth or UWB

    y Bluetooth : 2Mbps (Low rate)

y UWB :450 Mbps (High rate)

y However, EMI & Frequency interference problems

    are severe

y MIMO-VLC scheme with Scalable Data Ratetransmission structure could be one solution of above

    limitations

    y Proposed system

    y Scalable data rate : < 1G bps

    y MIMO-VLC Scheme

y based on VLC with OFDM & MIMO technology.

y It does not suffer from EMI.

    y Proposed system

y Could accommodate the increased demand ofMultimedia services.

y Could achieve Scalable (High/Medium/Low) Date

    Transmission.

    y

Use OFDM & MIMO technology.y Use Multiplexing technique using R,G,B LED waves

Conclusion Presented MIMO-VLC scheme is based on OFDM technique.

MIMO-VLC technologies could achieve various Data Rate.

Furthermore, proposed scheme also could be applied for

various VLC applications with Scalable Data Rate.
