The undersigned represents Callie Amanda Dubin, Administrator of the Estate of Stephen Edwin Knight (“Administrator”). I enclose a copy of the issued Letters of Administration. Administrator only became aware of the existence of an Order To Comply and Notice of Fee for case number #684935, Order# A- 3784525 a few weeks ago when the lender on the property sent her a copy of the Notice of Hearing.
The Effective Date of the Order was June 16,2015. Mr. Knight passed away on November 17,2015. At the time of the Order, Mr. Knight suffered from dementia. It is my understanding that Mr. Knight was sent two (2) invoices, on dated June 17,2015 and one dated September 18,2015. Mr. Knight appears to have paid the $660 Non-Compliance Fee on the September 18, 2015 invoice, but made no other payment. A claim of LADBS Lien Processing Error is being e-mailed to Brian Hauff today. A copy of which is attached hereto.
The Administrator will be making a payment to the Department of Building and Safety in the amount of $336.00, the outstanding code violation inspection fee and $42.00 Title Report fee for a total of $378.00. The Administrator requests the waiver of all late fees, interest and surcharges. The Administrator also requests that a lien not be recorded against the Property.
