Planogram Portal: Viewer Quick Help

Overview This quick help provides an overview of how to use the Planogram Portal to search for, view

and print planograms (POGs). It covers how to:

Access the portal

View/print live and future-dated POGs at one time using the shopping cart function

Read the standard POG layout in PDF format

Access and review performance reports

As of rollout in first quarter 2011, this process applies to all new and updated POGs. All POGs will

be updated over time.

Access the

Planogram

Portal

Access the portal using either of the following navigation paths:

Go to MerchLink > Assortment/Space Planning > Planograms > Access the Planogram Portal; or

Log into myApron. Scroll down to the Tool Box column > Planograms > Access the Planogram Portal.

Note: Use the Planogram Portal to view POGs. For Area Layouts, such as showrooms, laydowns

and special order displays, look for the link under the Tool Box column named "Area Layouts."

Search for/

View

Planograms

To view POGs from the main POG viewing screen, follow these steps:

1. You can search for POGs multiple ways. Select a:

a. Department, class and category from the drop down menus;

b. SKU or Store; or

c. Descriptive Attribute, such consolidated reset, front apron or holiday.

2. Click on Search. The viewer displays all POGs for your selection. For example, if you select only "Department" and click Search, the viewer displays every POG for that department in Pending or Live status.

Note: MET supervisors and managers, merchants and merchant assistants, reset teams and

suppliers have the ability to see both live (current) and pending (future-dated) POGs.

Print with the

Shopping Cart

The POG Shopping Cart allows you to view and print single or multiple PDFs. Follow these steps:

1. To view/print a single PDF, click on the POG name. The POG opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Print if necessary.

2. To view/print multiple PDFs, click on the shopping cart icons next to the POGs to add (or remove) POGs from the shopping cart.

Note: The cart next to the POG name turns red when added to the cart and green when

removed.

3. Selected PDFs are now in your cart. Click View/Print All to view or print these PDFs.

Standard PDF

Layout

The standard PDF layout of the POG includes the detailed information needed for associates to

set the POG correctly in THD stores. Following is an example of a PDF that prints from the

shopping cart.

Access

Performance

Reports

Performance reports are visible only to merchants and merchant assistants (MAs). These

documents contain information on holding capacity, current on-hands vs. capacity and vendor

penetration analysis.

POG Performance Documents include four main sections:

1. Planogram Sales Holding Capacity Report

2. Planogram Inventory Holding Capacity Report

3. WOS and Holding Capacity Report

4. Vendor Report

To access the performance report for a POG, first click on the corresponding performance report

icon on the View/Search Planograms screen:

A pop-up screen appears. Click on the POG name to view the report.

Report

This report displays space-to-sales allocation in green, red and yellow highlights. Colors indicate

the following:

Red SKUs: Potential for out-of-stocks and increased store labor. At maximum shelf-holding capacity (filled to the back of the shelf for each facing), red SKUs have less than four weeks of supply on the shelf.

Yellow SKUs: Overstocked. At facing minimum, yellow SKUs have greater than four weeks of supply on the shelf. For SKUs merchandised as:

o A unit: Facing Minimum = Facings Wide

o In cases, trays or pallets: Facing Minimum = Facings Wide x 30% (Case/Tray/Pallet Quantity)

Green SKUs: Maximum shelf-holding capacity is greater than four weeks of supply and facing minimum is less than four weeks of supply.

Report

This report displays space-to-inventory allocation in orange and white highlights. Colors indicate

the following:

Orange SKUs: Potential for SKUs being placed in the overhead due to lack of space on the shelf. Average on-hands are greater than the maximum shelf-holding capacity.

White SKUs: Average on-hands are less than the maximum shelf-holding capacity.

Report

This report provides detailed data behind the Planogram Sales Holding Capacity Report and

Planogram Inventory Holding Capacity Report.

Vendor Report This report, accessible only by merchants, MAs and the POG and Space Analysis Team, provides

pace-to-sales and inventory analysis by SKU at the vendor level.

Reporting is updated every Sunday and reflects R12 data for store(s) assigned to this planogram only.

Space data reflects dimensional information from vendor input in IDM.
