operating.

Evacusafe UK Ltd guarantees the chair for 1 year from date of purchaseParts are subject to general wear and tear any damage caused by vandalism or

misuse will not be covered by the guarantee. Evacusafe Transit Chair is a low maintenance piece of equipment,

however it should be checked and used regularly to prolong the life of it.

A regular check should be carried out that includes:

All nuts and bolts are secure.

Seat belt operates correctly.

Chair opens and closes.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT WORKING PARTS ARE LUBRICATED ON A REGULAR BASIS.

Maintenance

The Evacusafe 4 Wheel Folding Transit Chair iswarranted for one year from the date of purchase

against faulty workmanship or materials.Please contact us should a fault occur.

The warranty does not extend to the consequential costs resulting from fault clearance, in particular freight

and travel costs, loss of earnings, expenses, etc,

Specifications

WARNING – THE CHAIR IS DESIGNED FOR TRANSPORTING PEOPLE, IT MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED ONCE IN USE, IT MAY TIP BACK AND INJURE THE OCCUPANT.

IT IS ADVISED THAT ALL USERS OF THE CHAIR HAVE RECEIVED MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING.

THE CHAIR REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF TWO PEOPLE TO OPERATE.

THE CHAIR CAN BE OPERATED USING 2, 3 OR 4 PERSONS THAT ARE SITUATEDAROUND THE CHAIR.

Operating Instructions

1. Remove chair from storage location and place on the ground in a suitable position.

2. Undo the safety belt.

3. Unfold the handleand insert the safetypins on each side to secure.

4. Hold the handle andlocate the seat bar intothe bracket on the rearframe.

5.Transfer person ontoseat as per the personal emergencyevacuation plan (peep),ensuring the chair issupported.

6. Fold out foot rest ifrequired and fasten seatbelt.

1. Fold foot rest back to closed position.

If you have not opted for certified training, then here are some additional points to consider.

Who is going to use the chair?

Where the chair(s) are going to be located?

Where is the nearest suitable emergency exit?

Have you got enough chairs to cover all situations?

Transfer of the client.

Remember to always be courteous, considerate and confident with your client.

2. Hold the handle andremove the seat barfrom the bracket on therear frame.

3. Lower down to theground, into a foldedposition.

4. Remove the safetypins on each side of thehandle and fold thehandle down.

5. Fasten the safety belt around the folded chair.

6. Return to storage position.

7. Once at the stairs, 1 person should holdhandle at the rear ofthe chair and 1 or 2people should hold thelifting handles at thebottom of the chair.

8. 1 person should takecommand and give instructions to lift. Manoeuvre the chairslowly and confidentlydown the stairs.

9. Once on the stairlanding lower the chairinto static position andprepare for next flightof stairs.

10. When you get toground floor manoeuvre to final exit.
