October 9-12, 2017 President’s Pen
Sulphur Springs is filled with excitement and great
anticipation of the wonderful Annual Session of our
State Convention. Thanks to our Host Moderator Dr.
Kirthell Roberts, Cypress Baptist District Association
& East Region of B.M. &. E. Church for helping to
make it so.
My prayer is that we will make this the best
convention ever. This we can do by giving our very
best in support and corporation. Thank you for coming to Sulphur Springs
Texas with this being our objective. Thursday at 2:30 p.m. will be the
President’s address and the B.M.&E Religious hall of fame service.
I have asked each District Association to get a minimum of 10 churches
from their District to register across the board (Parent Body and
Auxiliaries. This will help us to meet our budget.
Please note that we now have a budget; we now have a program to
help struggling churches; we now have an active Constitution; we now
have a Religious Hall of Fame. We now have lowered registration to
accommodate more of our churches; we now have tenure of office; we are
operating under a new paradigm shift; etc. The work is better because we
are better about our stewardship.
Pastor we need you and your support! Help us!
Listen, we prefer your presence, and we need your support in every
way! Thank you so very much!
Yours in Christ,
Stephen C. Nash, Convention President

Health Ministry Pledge
I, ___________________________, pledge allegiance to my God, that I
will make His word a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will
hide your word in my heart and share it freely with unsaved souls. That I
will let my light shine before men so that they will see your good work in
me and glorify and lift you up.
I will hold in confidence all personal matters revealed to me as I
render care to the sick and infirmed in my church and community. I will
attend educational classes and workshops to keep abreast of current health
issues, to enhance my knowledge and share this with my congregation and
community.
I will do my part to promote health and wellness through holistic
approach for my congregation and community.

This Is My Mission Blessed with His goodness, blessed with His love;
Blessed with His showers that come from above.
Blessed with His sunshine, blessed with His air,
I’ll go on helping everywhere.
God gives the courage, faith leads the way
Onward we travel happy and gay.
Thinking of others, willing to share
Taking God’s message everywhere.
Remembering others, whenever I pray,
Looking to Jesus, He is the way.
Onward I travel, He’s by my side,
I’ll never falter, He is my guide.
Chorus This is my Mission, This is my prayer,
Helping the needy, everywhere.
This is my Mission, this is my prayer,
Helping the needy, everywhere.

Walk In The Light
Chorus:
Walk in the light, beautiful light,
Come where the dewdrops of mercy shine bright.
Oh shine all around us by day and by night,
Jesus is, Jesus is the light of the world;
Oh we shall walk in the light, beautiful light,
Come where the dewdrops of mercy shine bright.
Oh shine all around us by day and by night,
Jesus is, Jesus is the light of the world;
Verse1:
No need to worry, no need to fret,
All of my needs, the man named Jesus has met.
His love protects me from hurt and from har,
Jesus is, Jesus is the light of the world.
Verse 2:
If the gospel be hid, it’s hid from the lost
My Jesus is waiting to look past your faults.
Arise and shine, your light has come,
Jesus is, I know that He is the only light of this world.
Vamp:
Sopranos:
Jesus is the light,
Light of the world.
Tenors:

Light of the world.
Altos:
Jesus is the light,
Light of the world.
All:
