WEDDING PLANNER
At The Dearborn Inn, Marriott Hotel, we pride ourselves
on training and experience. Our Event Team have
managed an extensive collection of unique and
memorable events as well as events from a variety of
cultures, including Indian and Jewish. Each of our Event
Planners are Marriott Certified Wedding Planners
completing specially designed course work to receive
the certification. The coursework covers a variety of
wedding protocols and etiquette, as well as culinary and
decorating trends.
With their experience and training our Event Planners can
help you determine an overall vision for your wedding and
help you execute each detail. Our Event Team has the
knowledge and sensitivity to ensure your ceremony and
reception meet your every expectation and our
uncompromising standards. From creating the menu to
decorating the ceremony location and ballroom, we take
particular pride in planning an event that is uniquely yours.
In addition, we can arrange accommodations for your out-
of-town guests, provide special amenities and pamper
your guests in the classic tradition of The Dearborn Inn,
Marriott Hotel.
Your wedding package includes consultation with one of
our expert Event Planners to discuss menu and décor
options, as well as recommendations for creating a
unique event. Upon receipt of your signed agreement,
your event will be assigned to an Event Planner. Your
Event Planner will help you plan and masterfully direct all
of your needs with the efficiency and professionalism you
have come to expect from Marriott. We leave you free to
relax and enjoy your special celebration.

SERVICE
Our service includes one bartender for every 100 guests
and one server for every 16-20 guests. Additional station
attendants, bartenders, food or cocktail servers are
available at a $150.00 fee each. Labor fees are subject to
6% sales tax and 24% service charge.
MENU TASTINGS
The Dearborn Inn, Marriott Hotel offers one
complimentary menu tasting for the Wedding Couple or
two people. Our event and culinary staff will be available
to answer any questions, and finalize food and beverage
details, as well as give suggestions to make your event a
truly memorable experience.
CUSTOMIZED CAKES FROM PASTRY PALACE
Your wedding package includes a personalized wedding
cake from Pastry Palace. Your Event Planner will help
you to choose from a selection of styles, flavors, and
designs. If you have a vision of your wedding cake that is
not showcased in our design book or on the Pastry
Palace website, the talented artists at Pastry Palace and
your Event Planner can help you bring your wedding cake
vision to life.

outdoor locations for your wedding ceremony in conjunction with your reception:
THE GAZEBO
Located in the courtyard just behind the hotel, provides a
beautiful setting and a view of our colonial village.
THE EAST GARDEN
Located just outside the east wing of the hotel, provides a
gorgeous secluded setting for your wedding vows.
You can also enjoy your wedding ceremony set in one of our beautiful ballrooms.
Please contact your catering sales manager for details.
There is a $1,200.00 ceremony fee ($1000 fee for off peak season) for both
outdoor and indoor ceremonies subject to a 24% Taxable service charge and 6% sales tax.
This fee includes set-up of chairs, sound system, standing microphone,
a one hour rehearsal time and the assistance of your event planner to
coordinate the processional and recessional.

Wedding CeremoniesThe Dearborn Inn, Marriott offers a distinctively charming location for your wedding ceremony in conjunction with your reception.
There is a $1200.00 ceremony fee subject to a 24% taxable service charge and 6% sales tax. This fee includes set-up of chairs,
sound system, standing microphone, a one hour rehearsal time and the assistance of your Event Planner to coordinate the
processional and recessional.
Event PlannerUpon receipt of your signed agreement, your event will be assigned to an Event Planner at the Hotel. Our Event Planner will help you
plan and masterfully direct all of your group’s needs with the efficiency and professionalism meeting planners have come to expect from
Marriott. We leave you free to relax and enjoy your special celebration.
Food and Beverage MinimumYour event requires a minimum food & beverage guaranteed dollar value that will be discussed with your sales manager. This amount
is based upon the date, time, and location of your function. If your expected attendance multiplied times the per person price falls
below the minimum dollar value, you may increase your per person price by purchasing additional food and/or beverages, or pay the
difference. The above minimum dollar amount does not include sales tax (currently at 6%), service charge (currently at 24%) or
miscellaneous charges.
Food and Beverage PoliciesAll food and beverage must be provided by the Dearborn Inn, A Marriott Hotel. No Food or beverage shall be brought into the hotel by
patrons or attendees. The sale and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated by the state of Michigan and City of Dearborn Codes.
As licensee the hotel is responsible for administrations of these regulations. All guests will be required, by hotel and the State of
Michigan, to provide proper identification when consuming alcoholic beverages.
Food and Beverage EstimatesFood and Beverage prices are subject to change. Prices vary according to the menu selection and type of event. Once you have made
your arrangements your Event Planner can prepare an estimated bill for your review.
Service Charge and Sales TaxA taxable service charge (currently at 24%) and state sales tax (currently at 6%) will be applied to all prices.
Deposits and CancellationThe first non-refundable deposit due with your signed agreement is equal to 20% of the food & beverage minimum for your event.
The remaining deposits schedule is as followed:
• 30% of the food and beverage minimum for your event is due three months after the signed contract date.
• 30% of the food and beverage minimum for your event is due six months after the signed contract date.
• 20% of the food and beverage minimum for your event is due one month prior to the date of your event.
The estimated final balance is due five (5) days prior to the event. All deposits are non-refundable and coincide with cancellation
fees if the event is to cancel.
GuaranteesWe need your assistance in making your event a success. We ask that you give a final guarantee of attendance 5 days prior to your
event. This date will be specified in your contract as well. This will be your minimum guarantee and is not subject to reduction. An
increase in the guaranteed attendance will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the event. If a final guarantee is not received, we will
consider the expected number indicated on the original signed contract to be the guarantee.
Your Event Planner will also provide you with a room diagram of your ballroom, the final room diagram with the total amount of guests
at each table is also due 5 days prior to your event.
Valet ParkingShort term Valet Parking is available for $7 per vehicle. Please see your Event Planner for details.
Hospitality Suite/Changing RoomA hospitality suite/changing room may be available to be used the day of the wedding. Please see your sales or event planner for
pricing and availability.
Overnight Guest Room AccommodationsYour Sales Manager can assist you with setting up a wedding room block with a special sleeping room rate exclusively for your event
