BRANDON STEWART CB The Blue Bombers caught a break in Week 5, with Price staying back in Calgary to nurse a leg injury. They won’t be so lucky this week, as the burner will be on the field and ready to build on his team- leading 15.0 yards-per-catch average and six endzone trips. Price has scored five touchdowns in his last four games, and Stewart, the former Stampeders defensive back, will see a lot of the Orlando native. DE CHARLESTON HUGHES VS. ARVIS JONES RT Added to the Blue Bombers practice roster a little more than two weeks ago, Jones draws one of the toughest assignments around this week, as he’ll attempt to slow down Hughes, who’s second in the CFL with 13 sacks on the season. Expect the big 6-foot-7 Oklahoma Sooners product to get lots of help, but the Stamps, as always, will move Hughes and fellow D-end Cordarro Law around and attempt to confuse the three-down football rookie. LT STANLEY BRYANT VS. ALEX HALL DE Since arriving in the CFL last year, Hall has a ridiculous 24 sacks in 26 career games. Not bad. In piling up a league- leading 15 quarterback takedowns this season, Hall has been shut out just three times. One of those games was the Week 5 meeting with the Stamps in Winnipeg, and Bryant will be hoping to do the same type of job this time around. It’s a matchup that’ll be fun to watch Saturday evening, as Bryant will be trying to help Hughes catch Hall for the CFL sack crown. RB JON CORNISH vs. HENOC MUAMBA LB Muamba sits second in the CFL in tackles. Cornish sits second in the league in rushing. Whenever these two teams clash, there are always plenty of meetings in the hole between these two premier players. Saturday will be no different. If the Stamps jump out to an early lead, Cornish and backup Matt Walter will likely see plenty of carries, and it’ll be up to Muamba to make sure his defence can get off the field and not allow Cornish to methodically move the chains. WR JOE WEST VS. JOHNNY SEARS CB Welcome back, Mr. West. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder separated his shoulder diving in the endzone back in Week 4, sending him to the nine-game injured list, but West has been healthy for a couple weeks now and is ready to resume his role as a lethal red-zone target. On the other side, knee and foot injuries have sidelined Sears for all but a few snaps this season, so it’ll be interesting to see which player can shake off the rust and make an impact.
