Ensuring Physical Safety
Attending to children’s physical safety involves protecting them from bodily harm and injury.
Choose safe toys and activities. Plan and supervise children at all times. Provide ample time to play actively. Plan for nutrition. Avoid the spread of germs that lead to disease and illness.

Ensuring Emotional Safety
Emotional safety refers to children’s internal sense of safety, including being protected and sheltered from real or perceived threat.
Provide children with experiences free from anxiety and fear. Establish reliable and predictable schedules. Offer age-appropriate activities. Plan activities that promote social attachment. Be a responsive and caring teacher.
