The Mission of the Nursing Practice Research Council is to increase the scientific foundation of practice by research conduct and utilization activities in acute and critical care nursing through four areas of work: Research Development Provide consultation in the design, implementation, analysis and publication of nursing research. Research Utilization Support efforts to identify and integrate clinical research findings that are sufficient and appropriate to apply to nursing practice. Research Education Develop workshops, seminars and conferences on the generation and utilization of research and evidence-based practice. Research Dissemination Provide structures and processes for the dissemination of research with sufficient evidence to apply to practice and determine feasibility of evidence-based practice changes.
