The Mission of the Nursing Practice Research Councilis to increase the scientific foundation of practice by research conduct and utilization activities in acute and critical care nursing through four areas of work:
Research Development Provide consultation in the design, implementation, analysis and publication of nursing research.
Research UtilizationSupport efforts to identify and integrate clinical research findings that are sufficient and appropriate to apply to nursing practice.
Research Education Develop workshops, seminars and conferences on the generation and utilization of research and evidence-based practice.
Research DisseminationProvide structures and processes for the dissemination of research with sufficient evidence to apply to practice and determine feasibility of evidence-based practice changes.

Nurses, as well as clinical, education and administrative leaders, are challenged to deliver evidence-based care while managing demanding patient loads and attempting to keep pace with the latest recommendations for their clinical practice. The purpose of this annual conference is to assist nurses, educators, and clinical and administrative leaders to infuse the latest evidence into their current practice and to provide opportunities for networking and education.

Refund Policy: Refund of registration fee MINUS $25.00 processing fee if cancellation is received by April 16, 2014. There are no refunds after that date or for no-shows. Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP #12511 for 5.5 contact hours.
Nurses will be awarded 4 ANCC hours for participation. UCLA is accredited as a provider of continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
