Nuts shall be marked L according to A-194, i.e. A-194 Gr 7L. Bolts for RTJ flanges to be specified with over length (one nut height) to enable the use of hydraulic tightening tools for bolt sizes from 1½ and above. Additional Requirements for Super Duplex Bolting: Super Duplex bolts shall be fabricated from A-276 Gr S32760 S (strain hardened) and shall comply with mechanical requirements of A320 Gr L7 incl. impact test. Bolts designated FLT shall be impact tested at temperature specified for A320 Gr L7, bolts designated FG shall be impact tested at 46°C. On piping specification sheets bolts are designated UNS S32760 FLT and UNS S32760 FG. Age/precipitation hardened bar shall not be used for fabrication of bolts. Nuts for Super Duplex bolting to be fabricated from A-276 Gr S32760 A and shall comply with mechanical requirements of A194 Gr 7L, including impact test, test temperature shall be as for A320 Gr L7. On piping specification sheets Nuts are designated UNS S32760 SA. 3.2.2.1 Surface Treatment for Carbon Steel Bolts Sizes M12 or ½" or larger to be hot dip galvanized according to ASTM A 123 or ISO 1461. Sizes up to M12 or ½", zinc electroplate according to ASTM B 633, class Fe/Zn 12 with type II finish (coloured chromate conversion coating). 3.2.3 Gaskets The following gaskets are acceptable: Supagraf, Sigraflex, Flexitallic or equivalent makes approved by Mærsk Olie. 3.3 Tests Where additional mechanical tests, e.g. charpy and hardness, are specified further to the tests required by the material standard in question, samples taken at the stage in the process where standard tensile testing is performed, are acceptable in lieu of samples taken on the finished product. Additional NDE required shall be performed on the finished product. 3.3.1 Charpy Impact Requirements Piping material for design temperatures below +14 F (-10 C) shall be low temperature material and shall be impact tested in accordance with ASME B31.3 section 323.3 (i.e. materials below -10 C and above -29 C are also to be tested).
