Notes
Rated loads
① Rated loads are loads with the crane positioned level on firm, level ground, and
include the mass of hooks and wire ropes etc. The portions enclosed by bold lines
are determined on the basis of crane strength; the rest are determined on the basis
of crane stability.
Operators are responsible for decisions to reduce loads and/or work speeds
according to conditions when carrying the rated load under conditions
unfavourable to safety, such as wind, ground conditions, work rates or other
factors.
② A blank in the total rated load tables indicates that the crane cannot be operated
under this condition. Note that the crane may overturn if the boom angle is
reduced to below the minimum.
③ When the boom exceeds a specified length, use the rated load lower of the
specified length or the next higher specified length.
④ The rated jib load varies between boom lengths of 20.1 m or lower and longer
than 20.1 m.
⑤ The rated auxiliary jib load is the rated boom load minus 65 kg; it includes the
hoisting attachment and auxiliary hook weight (25 kg), and is limited to 1.8 t.
⑥ The work radius is the horizontal distance from the centre of swing to the centre
of gravity of the load.
⑦ The work radius is based on actual values including boom deflection, and must be
used as the basis for operation.
⑧ The minimum numbers of part lines for hooks are set so that the weight does not
exceed 1.8 t per wire rope for both main and the auxiliary winch. The standard
numbers of part lines to boom lengths and hook types and masses are as follows.
Boom length 5.3 m 9.0 m 12.7 m 16.4 m 20.1 m 23.8 m Auxiliary sheave
Hook type 13 t hook 1.8 t*
Hook mass 90 kg 25 kg
Part lines 8 4 4 4 4 4 1
* Ball hook
⑨ When lowering the hook ONLY, the rope can be lowered at high speed. Do not
jerk the lever.
When outriggers are in use
① The maximum outrigger extension width is 4.7 m, and the intermediate extension
widths are 4.3 m, 3.5m and 2.5 m. The minimum outrigger extension is 1.64 m.
② Over side hoisting performance varies according to outrigger extension. When
the front and rear outriggers are extended by different widths on left and right, use
the lower of the rated loads for the left side front and rear extension widths on the
left side and the lower of the rated loads for the right side front and rear extension
widths on the right side. For over front and over rear hoisting performance, use
the rated loads for the maximum outrigger extension widths.

③ When working with a jib, use the boom angle as the basis. See the reference
figures for working radius with jib attached for boom lengths of 20.1 m and 23.8
m.
④ When working with a jib, subtract the mass of the 1.8 t ball hook and wire ropes
etc from the rated load for the jib.
⑤ Do not use the auxiliary sheave when the jib is extended.
⑥ When working with a suspended load at an angle (towards outriggers), the
outrigger float at the opposite corner to the load may lift. This is due to the
torsional rigidity and deflection etc in the carrier frame, and does not mean that
stability has been lost. When the equipment is operated within its rated load, it
will maintain stability when placed level on firm flat ground. The angles are
shown as directions to in the diagram.
When outriggers are not in use
① Total rated load is the maximum load that can be guaranteed for this equipment,
on firm level ground, with the specified air pressure in the tyres (900 kPa/{9.00
kgf/cm2}) and the suspension cylinder fully retracted and locked, and includes the
mass of the hook and wire ropes. The portions enclosed by bold lines are
determined on the basis of crane strength; the rest are determined on the basis of
crane stability.
② The rated loads for over front and over sides are different. Take care when
swinging from over front to over side that the load does not become excessive.
③ Operate the crane over front when the over front position display lamp is on in the
overload prevention display. The over front range is with the boom up to 2 over
front of the carrier.
④ When working with the jib, do not lower at high speed or exceed a boom length
of 12.7 m.
⑤ When working with a fixed load, ensure that the carrier and auxiliary brakes are
on.
⑥ When travelling with a load, set the drive switch to Low/4D and the shift lever to
1.
⑦ When travelling with a load, set the swing brake on and keep the load close to the
ground with spend of 1.6km/h or less to prevent it from swaying. Take particular
care when cornering, and accelerating and stopping suddenly.
⑧ Do not operate the crane when travelling with a load.
⑨ The minimum numbers of part lines for hooks are set so that the weight does not
exceed 1.8 t per wire rope for both main and the auxiliary winch. The standard
numbers of part lines to boom lengths and hook types and masses are as follows.
