4) Spend a Day at the Beach

Enjoy the summer sunshine and go surfing, swimming or build sandcastles in the wet sand. Encourage your kids to spend some time gathering special seashells for Dad.

3) Let Him Sleep In

Weekends are usually filled with chores and busy schedules, so giving him some extra shut-eye will start his day off right. Maybe even bring him his coffee and breakfast in bed!

2) Give Him a Show!

Why not celebrate Father’s Day by planning an outing for an action packed movie or by encouraging the kids to put together a small play or performance.

5) Take a Break from Tech

Agree as a family to take a break from technology by using the OurPact app to block all internet and apps on your phones and tablets for the whole day. Make an effort to be fully present as a family and enjoy each other, without distractions!

6) Create a Family Video

Make a home video by filming small clips talking about what you love most about him. You can film on a phone or tablet and create a video with iMovie. Then, share it with him on Father’s Day and send it to him to cherish forever.

7) Go Off the Beaten Path

Go for a hike, bike ride or even just walk the dog somewhere in nature to unplug and get away from the daily grind of life. Encourage Dad to select the trail or location that he wants to venture to.

8) Give Him a Feast

Celebrate Father’s Day by a grilling a great meal and then sitting down as a family and enjoying it together.

9) Share a Professional Family Photo

Plan a photo shoot before Father’s Day and then give him a framed picture as a surprise. He won’t be the only one beaming, and the kids will cherish the photos as they grow.

10) Go to a Game

Is his favorite sports team playing nearby? Take him to a game and watch his face light up seeing his favorite team play.

11) Have a Backyard Day

If you have younger kids, set up games in the backyard, such as croquet, lawn bowling and tag football. Organize a lunch and either eat outside on the patio or have a mock-picnic on the grass!

12 ) Plan a Picnic

Make his favorite foods and take him to the park to enjoy them. Take along a baseball or football and maybe play a little catch, too.

13) Let Him Know You’re Proud of Him

Dads work hard all year doing lots of things for the family. Let him know you are proud of him and that you appreciate his efforts. This goes a long way and reminds him how important he is to you.
