Friends of St. James Academy,

I often tell people how satisfying it is for me to wake up on a daily basis and go to work. The joy of working at St. James Academy flows from many aspects of our school. First and foremost, I have the opportunity to start my day by attending Mass. Weekly Eucharistic adoration and participation in School of Faith classes with my colleagues also fortify my spiritual walk. The foundation of St. James Academy has been created with Jesus at the center of all we do, and He remains the rock who guides great academics, athletics, activities and community for our students.

My job also gives me the opportunity to work with genuine, hardworking and passionate individuals who are fully committed to living out our mission, both in the classroom and in their own personal lives. The teachers and staff of St. James Academy are constantly challenging administration, fellow teachers and students to raise the bar of success on our campus. Refusing to become complacent, they challenge us to continually improve and enhance the experience of being a St. James Academy student.

The number one reason I love my job is the most important aspect of our school: the students. High school students are some of the most energetic and creative individuals around. They are the leaders for the future of our society and Mother Church. It’s wonderful to have a four-year window to partner with parents in forming the hearts and minds of our students. I love watching them compete, enjoy success in the classroom, cheer at pep assemblies and rally for those in desperate need of prayer and support. We at St. James Academy are grateful for our community as well. We are thankful for your support over the past year in fulfilling the mission of our school. Whether it is through prayer, service or financial resources, we are constantly witnessing true faith in the work being accomplished on our campus. There are a few things you will find in the 2014 annual report:

• Updated financial forecast that gives you a glimpse of the financial future of St. James Academy• Updated budget figures from 2013-2014• Annual appeal results for 2014

As the President of St. James Academy, I am always thankful for opportunities to share the vision and mission of our school with anyone willing to listen. I am grateful that so many of you are willing to share your gifts with us to help enhance the culture of our school. Thank you for believing in our school and supporting us. I am excited to see what the future has in store for St. James Academy as we continue our work of passing on the Catholic faith to the next generation.

May God bless you and your family.

ADMINISTRATION

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

With vehemence of character and at times unrestrained zeal of purpose, St. James the Apostle and his

brother, St. John, earned the name “Sons of Thunder.” That powerful, fervent spirit is the inspiration for

St. James Academy’s Catholic fidelity, student-focused energy, compassionate fellowship, and competitive

intensity. In the chapel and the classroom, on the field, and out in the community, our students aspire to

be models of discipleship in the image of St. James.

5 YEAR FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

• Forecasting 220 students per class next year; 3% tuition growth

• Forecasting 210 students the following three years

• Key assumption is that the Archdiocese reduces SJA debt by $6 million over 5 years

• At the end of Year 5 (2019), SJA aggregate debt outstanding is forecasted to be approximately $2.07 million

Note **• These estimates are based upon total dollars raised by the Private Appeal as of December 31, 2014. FY 2015 reflects actual payments received through 1-31-15.• It is the practice of the Archdiocese to reevaluate their payment schedule each year. It is possible that payments to St. James Academy may be different than

what is being projected today.

St. James the Greater was among the first to leave everything and follow Jesus. He was part of a circle within the twelve that

Jesus relied upon to lead in an extraordinary way. Making a pilgrimage along the route to his relics, El Camino de Santiago—

The Way of St. James— is a powerful devotion that has endured for more than one thousand years.

On our Christian pilgrimage, we are all called to be missionaries; some give by going, others go by giving. The circles of giving

within the Camino Society bear the names of important stops along The Way of St. James, where pilgrims find rest,

nourishment and camaraderie with others to continue the journey. Thank you for answering the call. Thank you for leading

the way on this pilgrimage of sharing. We are immeasurably grateful for your generosity and for your support of Catholic

education during the 2013-2014 Fiscal Year.
