18/25

Scope: This Regulation applies to wheelchair accessible vehicles of categories M1~M3 (except for Low floor vehicle) .

Objective: To enhance the vehicle safety and accessibility for disabled passengers to get on, get off and ride in wheelchair.

Wheelchair accessible vehicle

19/25

Scope: This Regulation applies to manoeuvring lamps for vehicles of categories M and N .

Objective: To provide supplementary illumination to the side of the vehicle to assist during slow manoeuvres .

19

Zones of observation

Boundaries of the zones

Manoeuvering lamps

20/25

Scope: This Regulation applies to electric vehicles for L, M and N.

Objective: Sounds designed to alert pedestrians to the presence of electric drive vehicles such as hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and all-electric vehicles (EVs) travelling at low speeds.

Acoustic Vehicle Alarming System

Scope: This Regulation applies to ISOFIX for vehicles of categories M1.

Objective: To define standard attachment points to be manufactured into cars, enabling compliant child safety seats to be quickly and safely secured.

ISOFIX

22/25

Scope: This Regulation applies to rear underrun protection for vehicles of categories O2, O3, O4, N2 and N3.

Objective: To prevents the vehicles from being wedged under the chassis during accidental crashes and with that significantly increases the safety of traffic participants

Rear Underrun Protection

A.is a Minimum of 100 millimetres;B.is the maximum distance from the ground (when unladen) being 550 millimetres

23/25

Scope: This Regulation applies to ESC/VSF for vehicles of categories M1, M2,M3, N1, N2, N3, O3 and O4.

Objective: ESC/VSF is a safety feature that detects and prevents (or recovers from) skids. It can help keep the driver from losing control of the car in a panic swerve or when driving on slippery roads.

ESC/VSF

24/25

Scope: This Regulation applies to the rear middle seat which faces aisle, in categories M2 (gross vehicle weight > 3.5 t) and M3.

Objective: To prevent the passenger who sits in the rear middle seat which faces aisle from dangerous fallout when vehicle suddenly stops.

3-point seat-belt for large passenger vehicle

As of Jan. 01, 2019, the rear middle seat which faces aisle, in categories M2 (gross vehicle weight > 3.5 t) and M3, shall have a at least 3- point safety-belt
