Richard Clark is the president of Classified Development in Johnson City, Tenn. Clark has worked in newspaper classifieds for more than 30 years. (He claims to have started very young.) After spending the bulk of his newspaper career with the Freedom Communications group, Clark purchased the Classified Development consulting company and has operated it full time for just over 10 years. Jon Maroney is the senior vice president of Mobile Publishing for Handmark. He is responsi-ble for both strategic direction of the mobile publishing plat-form as well as day-to-day op-erations. Prior to FreeRange, Maroney spent 12 years running marketing, business development and product marketing at a number of software companies focused on providing tools and services to the pub-lishing industry.

Greg Swanson is the president of ITZ Publishing, an online consulting company based out of Portland, Ore. ITZ programs include research, site analysis, resource allocation strategies, strategic planning, vendor as-sessments and sales training. Swanson also serves as chief revenue enhancement officer for Press+, a service of Journalism Online, a company that has built an e-commerce platform for 1,600 publishers to collect revenue for the online content they produce. News Corp. purchased a minority stake in the company in June 2010.

Jim Chisholm is a newspaper strategy expert and principal with iMedia in Lille, France. He has spent more than three de-cades in the world of publishing, as an analyst, manager, execu-tive and adviser. With an unri-valled knowledge of the indus-try, he is widely held to be the industry’s leading expert on corporate and business development strategy. Chisholm has worked on the launch of a number of paid and free newspapers, as well as magazines, websites and radio stations. He has produced more than 30 different studies covering the key strategic issues facing the newspaper industry.

Matt Coen is co-founder and president of Second Street Me-dia Solutions in St. Louis. Sec-ond Street Media Solutions works with more than 1,600 leading local media companies to provide online, private label contests, daily deals promo-tions, user-generated photo and video, e-commerce and e-mail marketing solutions across North America. He was the founding CEO of Con-struction News Service (now iSqFt) a web-based pre-construction management service for commercial construction. Kruger was also the CEO of Workplace Architects, the leading pro-vider of drag, drop and configure application develop-ment webparts for Microsoft SharePoint. He sold Workplace Architects to Quest Software and managed the sales and development of the product globally.
