Another chance to go… ABOVE & BEYOND!

If you haven’t picked up your copy of the 2018 catalog, check your church mailbox or pick up a copy at the Welcome Center.

The Above & Beyond Gift Program is designed to offer members and friends the opportunity to provide special gifts for the ministry and mission of Christ that require funds beyond the church's general operational budget Browse the new offerings and prayerfully consider how you can help! Donate by check or online at mystandrew.org. Click “GIVE” to get started.

Bethania Kids Collection

Focus: “Sewing Machines” Do you have a sewing machine that is not being used? Would you donate it so that a woman in India could support her family? Bethania loves treadle sewing machines, but will gladly accept working electric sewing machines too. Please include the instruction book if you have it. Place in the box in the coat room or call for pick up! Contact Kay Caviness 301 622-0898 or Janet Burton 301-680-7943 with questions.

**DRIVERS NEEDED** Are you able to offer a fellow member a ride to a special service or event? Contact Marilee at

[email protected] to volunteer. This simple gesture can make someone’s holiday season brighter in the name of Jesus! Thank you!

Advent Devotional Booklets

Be inspired on your Advent walk by daily devotions written for the season! This year, we offer Moving Toward the Manger, reflections on the writings of Frederick Buechner by Martin E. Marty. Pick up your copy at the Welcome Center today.

C-4 Help Needed Next month St. Andrew will be providing volunteers to sort and hang clothes at the C-4 Center just south of the church on New Hampshire Avenue. Help is needed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9-11 am. Please sign up for one or more-time slots at the Welcome Center or contact Carol Petzold at 301-871-7413. Thanks!

End-of- Year Giving Reminder: All contributions must be received in the church office by close of business on December 31 to qualify as charitable giving for the 2017 tax year. Thank you!

New Member Photos Stop by the "Coming Attractions" wall across from the Coat Room to see photos of our latest group of new members, welcomed on December 10. Please keep an eye out for those smiling faces so you can say hello and welcome!

Call for Calendars & More

As those 2018 calendars fill your mailbox, save extras for the needy in our community. Surplus note pads and greeting cards are

also useful. Drop your donations in the marked boxes in the Coat Room. We recently sent a large box of cards to those ministering to detained

immigrants. The items and effort may seem small, but the recipients are so grateful.

JOB SEEKERS St. Andrew has connections to career resources and networks that may help you! Check the Employment Opportunities Binder on the Information Table in the Coat Room, or contact the office to learn more!

Holiday Office Hours

In addition to the Christmas and New Year holidays, the church office will have limited staff coverage Tuesday–Friday, December 26 through the 29. All donations for the 2017 tax year must be received no later than December 31. Thank you!
