Over 100 Cable & Wireless DX AHU units (6-12 KW) have been converted to RS-44 at Bristol. Simple and straightforward procedure. Lower discharge pressure and discharge temperature produced significant operating benefits. Previous problems of trip out at high pressure with R407C avoided. Ran with no problems through hot summer with high ambient temperatures.

Carrier Commercial converted twelve year old Carrier 25 to 30 ton split systems used for process cooling at Pratt and Whitney manufacturing facilities in Connecticut, USA.
The systems had reciprocating compressors manufactured by Carlyle. The conversion went smoothly according to Carrier Commercial’s service supervisor, who said:
“Not having to change the oil, valves or dealing with leaking seals was a big plus”.
