Dorothy HOWARDAGE 93 – PLAINWELL

Dorothy passed away Fri-day, December 13, 2013at her home in Plainwell.Mrs. Howard was bornMay 20, 1920, in Kalama-zoo to William and Alma(Eberhard) Goodhart. She

was a gifted athlete who enjoyed softball,bowling, skiing, ice skating, roller skatingand also liked playing cards. Dorothy wasa devoted homemaker whose family wasthe most important thing in her life. Shewas a member of the Alamo Congrega-tional Church. On April 1, 1943 in Kalama-zoo she married Benjamin Howard, whodied in 2006. Also preceding her in deathwere her parents, William and AlmaGoodhart and her sister, Edna Mattison.Surviving are four children, Sandra (Dale)Morse, Gwen (Tom) Chapman, David(Sheila) Howard and Ken (Linda) Howard;grandchildren, Jeff (Shirley) Chapman,Wendy (Brian) Bidwell, Dan Chapman,Mike (Melissa) Morse, Scott Morse,Bradley Howard, Joe (Kim) Chapman,Tamara (Peter) Koppers, Mark (Rochelle)Howard, Ben Howard, Jake Howard andSam Howard; great-grandchildren,Meghan, Benton, Kaitlynn, Kayla, Taylor,Sarah, Ethan, Joshua, Kyle, Josh, Emma,Molly, Makenna and Jordan; severalnieces and nephews; and lifelong familyfriends, the Wetters family. Lewis passed away Monday,December 16, 2013, at hishome. Mr. Kiser was born Janu-ary 14, 1924 in New Castle, PAto Lewis G. and Marguerite

(Knoblock) Kiser. During WWII he servedhis country in the U.S. Army. Lewisearned his Bachelor Degree in Engineer-ing from Tri-State University in Angola, IN,and taught engineering at Valparaiso Uni-versity. He was a 30 year resident of Men-tor, OH, where he was active in hischurch, holding several leadership posi-tions and teaching Sunday School. Healso served his community in various ca-pacities. Lewis was a life member of theNRA and a member of the American Le-gion. On August 20, 1971 in Kalamazoohe married Roberta Weimer, who died in2011. Ron passed away Friday, December 13,2013 in Plainwell. He was born December20, 1971 in Kalamazoo, the youngestchild of Timothy and Katherine (Kiel)Wolthuis. He attended Paw Paw HighSchool for a short time and in 1990 hegraduated from Otsego High Schoolwhere he also received the nickname“Sharky” from his ability to eat people upon the football field. He was a proudmember of the 82nd Airborne Rangersand was stationed in Fort Brag, NC. Afterhis honorable discharge from the Army hebegan driving a cement truck. Ron was aman with a big heart, big personality, anda big smile. His laughter was always rec-ognizable and will live on in our thoughtsand memories. Surviving are his children,Nathan, Nicholas and Hope; his brothersJoe and Chris; his nephew Jacob andKyle, nieces Kendylle and Kaylee; manyaunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
