The Western and Central Pacific Ocean (WCPO), contributes almost 60% of the global harvest of tuna

species, making the Pacific region the heart of the tuna industry. The biannual Pacific Tuna Forum is

the platform for all stakeholders to keep abreast of the latest management and sustainability initiatives,

and to be informed of investment opportunities in the region. The 7th Pacific Tuna Forum (PTF 2019) will

take place in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, from 12-13 September 2019.

The Forum

PTF 2019 will review the status of the tuna stocks in the WCPO; recent developments in management regime and policies; current trends in tuna trade and markets; recent developments in processing and technology; investment opportunities for small and medium scale entrepreneurs; eco labelling and social responsibility issues.

The Organizers

PTF 2019 is jointly organized by INFOFISH and the National Fisheries Authority (NFA) of Papua New Guinea.

Venue and Hotel Accommodation

The Pacific Tuna Forum 2019 will be held at Hilton Port Moresby.It is situated in Wards Road, Hohola, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Hilton Port Moresby is a hotel in Hohola showcasing the lifestyle and heritage of Papua New Guinea. Connected via walkway to the Kutubu Convention Centre, the hotel is in the government district and a 10-minute drive from Jacksons International Airport.

Travel Arrangements and Visa RequirementsVisas can be obtained from the nearest PNG diplomatic mission and embassy office stationed abroad. Visa on arrival is only available to eligible foreign nationals and under specific circumstances at Port Moresby’s Jacksons International Airport and Tokua (Rabaul)International Airport. Registration Fees

• The registration fee is US$ 500 for delegates from non-INFOFISH member countries and US$ 400 for *member countries. • The fee covers coffee breaks, lunches, reception, conference kit and documentation. • An additional US$ 150 will entitle an accompanying spouse to lunches and reception only.

*INFOFISH member countries are Bangladesh, Cambodia, Fiji, India, Iran, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Payment should be in US dollar draft drawn on a US bank payable to INFOFISH, or by Credit Card or Telegraphic Transfer (see the registration form for details).Registration should be made using the Forum registration form. Photocopies are acceptable. Please return the completed form with full payment instructions to INFOFISH by email at info@infofish.org.

On-line registration can be done through www.infofish.org.

The registration fee will be refunded, less 25% if the cancellation is received before 10 September 2019. No refund can be made for cancellations after 10 September 2019. However, a substitute delegate may attend in place. Any refunds, if applicable, will be issued only after the event.
