is the one you have been waiting for this spring! This completely renovated and revived Victorian pays homage its esteemed heritage. Today’s new construction cannot compete with a tried and true original. There is no substitute for quality craftsmanship, quality materials, and an unrivaled location.

Located in West Concord Village, the home offers walkability to every amenity imaginable. You are steps from Thoreau Elementary School, West Concord Library, Concord Teacakes, and the commuter rail. Live a “green” lifestyle in this classic New England setting.

As one enters the home from the front porch, you will notice the original diamond paned windows that flank this unique and stylish front door. Renovated with today’s buyer in mind, the home offers formal living and dining rooms which are bright and spacious with high ceilings and updated bamboo flooring. Other nods to the home’s history include ornate crown molding and traditional wainscoting. The dining room also provides

a built-in server. All of the spaces on the first floor blend effortlessly, making this a perfect home for entertaining.

Entering from the side of the home, you are greeted by a tiled mudroom and laundry room with large sink. The gourmet chef’s kitchen is the centerpiece of the family living area. High-end appliances, glass subway tile backsplash, granite counters, custom cabinets, an oversized island with prep sink and stool seating make this home a cooks dream. This space keeps those in the kitchen connected with family and friends. Holidays and every day living will be a joy in such an open bright space.

“The character of this home is unmistakable. It pays homage to its

Victorian heritage, but should be on the pages of

Metropolitan Home.”

The beautiful bamboo wood floors are carried upstairs to the family bedrooms. The master suite is an impressive space. It is bright and open and can easily accommodate a queen or king sized bed. The master bath offers granite tile, a stall shower with multiple heads, dual vanity, and a period claw-foot tub with contemporary zest. The deep walk-in closet presents an impressive amount of storage space sufficient for even the collector’s wardrobe.

The other two family bedrooms on this side of the stairway are serviced by an oversized full bath with tiled tub & shower and another dual vanity. The third family bedroom could be used as a guest room, or an au-pair suite, as it too offers a full bath with tiled stall shower.

The third floor is the perfect place for a home office, gym, and playroom. This wide-open space offers all members of the family a place for their unique activities. Two ceiling fans, a storage closet, and a half bath complete this incredibly versatile space.

Truly a find in West Concord Village, this expansive home offers spectacular period details, an open updated floor plan, and custom finishes you would expect to find in a home of this caliber. Do not let this opportunity pass by as these are few and far between.

Concord, signifying agreement and harmony, was incorporated as the first inland settlement in Massachusetts through a grant from the Massachusetts General Court dated September 12, 1635. As the scene of the first battle of the American Revolutionary War (War for Independence) on April 19, 1775, it is considered the birthplace of the nation, where the “shot heard ‘round the world” for liberty and self government was fired.

During the middle of the 19th century, Concord was home to some of the greatest literary and transcendental minds in America. Authors Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson and Louisa Alcott, and Nathaniel Hawthorne all lived, worked and wrote in Concord, and signs of their presence in the community remain to this day through the abundance of historic and cultural resources offered. Within walking distance of Concord Center are The Concord Museum, Orchard House, the Old Manse, the Old North Bridge, Minuteman National Historic Park, Emerson House, and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Walden Pond, which served as the inspiration for Thoreau’s Walden in 1854, is nearby and offers a variety of recreational opportunities and hiking trails. The Concord Free Public Library, Concord Art Association, Emerson Umbrella studios for visual and performing arts, and the Performing Arts Center (which is home to the Concord Orchestra, the Concord Band, and the Concord Players) are all in the downtown area.

Located 20 miles west of Boston, Concord’s population has remained stable at 16,000 over the past several decades. It is a picturesque New England community of handsome residences, preserved open spaces, family-owned farms and thriving commercial centers. The town is served by MBTA commuter rail to Boston, Cambridge and Fitchburg; and a commuter bus to Boston. State highway Route 2 runs through Concord, and Routes 128/95 and 495 are conveniently accessed.
