MINISTERS FORMATION DAY As we prepare for the season of Lent we will be
offering a day of formation for our ministers: Ushers,
Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and Choir. We will
begin on Saturday, March 2 at 11 am in the chapel.
The day will include time for sharing, time for prayer
and time for formation. We will also be serving a
light lunch. All ministers are asked to attend this
important day. Sessions will be conducted in English
and Spanish. Please call the rectory to let us know
you’re attending. 718.424.5400.

NEW MASS AT ST BARTS / NUEVA MISA EN ST BARTS: As you can see our attendance at mass continues to grow each week. We now have approximately 5,300 people at
mass each week. Those who come to mass a few minutes late know that most times it is now impossible to
find an empty seat to sit! For the Sundays of Lent until the Second Sunday of Easter we will offer mass at 10
am in the chapel in Spanish. Those who attend a Spanish mass on Sundays are asked to take note of this new
mass at 10 am in the chapel. The first mass will begin on Sunday, March 10th at 10 am in the Chapel (Ithaca)
Como puede ver, nuestra asistencia a la misa continúa creciendo cada semana. Ahora tenemos
aproximadamente 5,300 personas en misa cada semana. Los que vienen a misa unos minutos tarde saben que
la mayoría de las veces es imposible encontrar un asiento vacío para sentarse. Para los domingos de Cuaresma
hasta el segundo domingo de Pascua, ofreceremos misa a las 10 am en la capilla en español. A los que asisten
a una misa en español los domingos se les pide que tomen nota de esta nueva misa a las 10 am en la capilla.

GUADALUPE COMMITTEE We had a successful first meeting! We are coming
together each month to pray and plan for the feast day of Our

CHINESE MASS
华人教友的好消息 圣巴尔多禄茂堂区每月第一个主日和第
三个主日，下午1：30 在小教堂弥撒. 此外，每周二晚上

Good news for our Chinese Catholic community in Elmhurst. St Bartholomew Parish will be offering mass in Chinese on the First and Third Sundays of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel (Ithaca St). Also, the Chinese community will gather every Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the chapel – Ithaca St. Please join us.
INDONESIAN MASS On the 4th Sunday of every month mass is celebrated in Indonesian at 3 p.m. in the chapel (Ithaca St). Following the mass there’s always a reception in Heafey Hall. The next mass will be celebrated today February 24 at 3 pm. All are welcome to attend.
TAGALOG MASS On the 3rd Sunday of every month mass is celebrated in Tagalog for the Filipino community at 5 p.m. in the chapel (Ithaca Street). The next mass will be celebrated March 17. All are welcome to attend.
BENGALI/BURMESE MASS These two communities gather on the first Sunday of the month for a bilingual mass at 4:30 pm in the chapel. following the mass there is a gathering with light refreshments in Heafey Hall. The next mass will be celebrated Sunday, March 3.

YOUR CHURCH?
In order to give letters of recommendation,
letters attesting to character, sponsor
certificates, and other documents that may
have legal or religious purposes, it is
required that persons requesting those
documents be registered and be active
members of Saint Bartholomew Parish
at least three months prior to your
request. We can not provide any
of these documents to people not
registered in the parish.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
There are two times every Saturday for
confessions in the main church: 4 pm and
6:30 pm. Also Thursday at 6:30pm in the
Chapel. We now have two priests assigned
during these times to make it convenient
and less time to wait. Please do your
part…. come as close as possible to these
confession times. Take advantage of this
wonderful opportunity of God’s
mercy and love.
