Metro and Caltrans thank you for participating in this SR 710 Study Alternative Concepts Open House.

WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?The SR 710 Study Team is currently evaluating options to improve mobility and relieve congestion in the Study Area (please see Station 2, Board 2.1 for background information about the Study and a map of the Study Area).

The Study Team is currently in the Alternatives Analysis Phase of the Study Process. The Scoping Sessions that were held last March/April 2011 helped the Study Team develop a set of Alternative Concepts that are being previewed today (see Station 4 for more information about the Scoping Process). The Study Team would like to receive feedback on these concepts in order to further refine the list of alternatives that will be studied in the Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS). The EIR/EIS preparation begins in September and the draft document will be completed and available for public review in Fall 2013. (See Station 3 for more information about the Environmental Review Process).

This Alternative Concepts Open House is one of six being held in locations in the Study Area between May 14 and May 24. The Open House is designed to provide attendees an opportunity to review the information at their pace and to share their feedback easily and effectively. Please note that this not a public hearing so there will be no formal presentations nor will there be time for oral public comments. Please bring your feedback and questions directly to the Study Team staff at each of the stations.

Metro and Caltrans, as part of the ongoing

Alternative Analysis phase of the SR-710 Study,

are hosting a series of Open Houses in May 2012.

The study team is evaluating options to improve

mobility and relieve congestion within the study

area.

Learn about the multi-modal alternative concepts

under evaluation in the SR-710 Study process,

including, but not limited to, a “no build”

alternative, improvements to local streets,

expansion of transit systems, as well as

freeway options.

Come anytime during the meeting hours.

Information at all the open houses will be the

same. The open houses are designed to provide

one-on-one dialogue with the study team. This

is a learning environment in which community

members may engage at their own pace and in

the subject matter that interests them most.

The alternative concepts and other study process

information will be available for viewing on large

interactive boards staffed by multi-disciplinary

team members. (Please note that these forums

are not public hearings, and there will be no

formal presentation).
