Guinness PRO14 Fixtures
Welcome to today’s Guinness PRO14 match here at the Toyota Stadium.
It is the dawn of a new era at the Toyota Chee-tahs as we start the 2019/20 PRO14 season at home, along with a new coach in the form of Hawies Fourie. We welcome Fourie back to the side after previously being an assistant before pursuing a fruitful career as head coach at numerous teams across South Africa. The 2018/19 PRO14 campaign did fall short of expectations, but it is a new season, and one to be very excited about. The Toyota Cheetahs open their campaign with three matches against some of the best Europe has to offer.
The Toyota Cheetahs will embark on two three-match tours to Europe again and there will be a long spell where the team will not be in action at the Toyota Stadium, however, this does lead to the backend of the season where the Toyota Cheetahs will be closing their campaign with no less than seven of their last eight matches being played at home. That is a very big advantage indeed.
Measuring oneself against the very best Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales have to offer is not going to be an easy task, and let’s not forget about our fellow South Africans, the Southern Kings. This is, however, a journey we are looking forward to undertaking with the team.
We are happy to announce that there has only been a handful of players leaving the Toyota Cheetahs, and we would like to wish them well as they further their careers elsewhere. By the same token, this has also granted several players the opportunity to step up.
To the players, we have no doubt that you will
serve as proud ambassadors for the Toyota Cheetahs on the field of battle in Europe and South Africa, and you will become fantastic role models to the future generations of not only Toyota Cheetahs fans but players.
Hawies Fourie, we wish you a happy return to the Toyota Stadium, and along with your technical staff, we are sure that you will stamp your authority on the PRO14. It will be a bumpy and tough road that you will be walking along with the team as you pursue glory, but we will proudly be walking alongside you every step of the way.
Lastly, to our die-hard fans. We cannot stress enough what you mean to us and the entire Toyota Cheetahs family. Thank you for welcoming our friends from Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales with open arms every time they visit the City of Roses. We once again look forward to your die-hard support and embrac-ing the visiting supporters.
Enjoy the Game!

FREE STATE CHEETAHS (PTY) LTD MESSAGECHEETAHS
It is indeed for me as chairman of Toyota Free State Cheetahs a great privilege to welcome each and every one at this evening’s Guinness PRO 14 match between the Toyota Cheetahs and Munster.
We welcome our opponents, Munster from Ireland, to Toyota Stadium and Bloemfontein.
We wish the Toyota Cheetahs team and coaching staff well for this encounter. The Toyota Cheetahs have started the season on fire, racking up a mammoth 16 tries and 111 points in the first two rounds – including last weekend’s 63-26 win over Ulster. Munster is the Conference B leaders and the match promises to raise all levels of excitement.
We are proud of the team’s performance and I wish them well tonight.
To all our supporters and friends – may you enjoy this match and entertainment in
Toyota Stadium. Your support is truly appreciated. Thank you to each and every suite holder, season ticket holder and supporter who believes in the Toyota Cheetahs this year.
I also would like to express a very sincere word of thanks to Toyota for sponsoring the Stadium, Cheetahs and for their great support for rugby in this regard. Thank you to all our loyal sponsors who have been with us through good times and bad times.
