COVID – 19 Response• We recognised potential to close Operations
• Contingency plan implemented
• Emergency rosters introduced
• Teams separated to avoid cross contamination
• Enhanced sanitation rules introduced
• Building Occupancy kept to a minimum
COVID – 19 Response
• 7 positive cases cross our operational units
• Other staff removed as close contacts
• H24 Operations continued
• ANSP committed to H24 service provision
Staffing• Cost containment measures implemented
• Recruitment programme stopped
• Two student controller programmes terminated
• Some early retirements – not replaced
• All staff have taken a pay cut
• We have to strike the balance between cost and having sufficient capacity when traffic returns
Refresher Training• Remaining staff working quieter & less
complex traffic
• Simulators used to maintain skills
• Ongoing reviews of safety issues around a traffic increase.
• Timing of training is critical

Safety Actions• ATCO R/T reviews regularly carried out

Changes at Irish Airports
New Dublin Tower• Built to facilitate parallel runway operations
• Opening impacted by COVID-19
• Planned to be operational end Q2 2021
• New Equipment for enhanced efficiency• Frequentis Communication System• Integrated ATS (E-Strip and ASMGCS)
• Enhanced sightlines across the airfield
• No New Procedures
Cork Airport
• Cork Airport will close to facilitate runway refurbishment works.
• The Airport plans to close the runway from 12 Sep 2021 to 22 Nov 2021

We intend to hold Customer Operations Workshops twice per year

Initially on Teams but we look forward to being able to welcome you to one of our facilities in the not too distant future
IAA Restructuring
• Government Policy to separate the ANSP and Regulator
• Vesting day is scheduled for Aug 2021
• Name of ANSP will change but has yet to be confirmed
• Change will be transparent to Customers
