The Falcons placed first and second in all categories. New to the team this year is eighth grader Collin Fuller. “Although it’s his first year in OI, he has already proven his talent by winning second place in Oratory,” said Henry OI coach Shana Vander Grift. This is the fourth straight year for the Falcons defending their District Title. The team is coached by Vander Grift and Bryan Muller. She surprised her mother by coming home on Thursday. Stephanie joined Joan at Fordham Colony on Friday. On Friday evening, Arlen and Stephanie treated Joan to supper out in Henry for her birthday. Word was received that Martin Lohmiller, long-time Henry resident, passed away on Friday morning. On Saturday afternoon Joan and Stephanie Boehnke visited Bob Boehnke at Edgewood in Watertown. Later that evening, John Boehnke and Talon Wolf of Soux Falls joined Joan, Arlen, and Stephanie for sup- per out in Henry. John and Talon spent the night and returned home on Sunday. Barb Hartley attended funeral ser- vices last Tuesday in Hayti for former co-worker Ron Krack. On Saturday Debbie Engels, Barb Hartley and Bonita Sharp met for cof- fee in the morning. Rose McElroy had lunch out in Wa- tertown on Thursday with Liz Hustad of Watertown. Monty and Jackie Geiger of Faulk- ton and their daughter, Ashley, of Aberdeen, stopped to visit at LeDene Geiger’s Saturday afternoon. Lisa Purintun and Dean Limberg were Sunday afternoon callers of LeDene Geiger. Anthony Purintun visited LeDene Geiger several times this past week. Rod and Cherie Jans went to Huron on Sunday afternoon to visit Taylor and Carey Jans and family. Mick Ommen’s Thanksgiving and Christmas meal/family get-together was held Saturday night at the home of Kenny and Glenda Kittelson. Glen- da made prime rib. Everyone was there except for Mike Rawlins and family, as their son, Kaiden, had a hockey game. Loydeen VanSickle and her sister, Bev, went to Montrose to visit their sister, Sherry, and brother, Curt. Danny and Bonita Sharp went to Aberdeen on Sunday to watch the sixth grade girls Falcon basketball tournament at Northern State Uni- versity. The team finished in first place.
