The Enfield Farmers Market is held for the second year at the Enfield Shaker Museum. Our market is held on the side lawn of the Great Stone Dwelling which was home to the Enfield Shaker Church Family. The large trees offer shade to the vendors and shoppers alike. Each week we offer a different activity for children to enjoy such as story hour, a puppet show and music. We have local produce, jams, cheeses and meats. As well as fresh baked bread, jams and pickles. Our local craft artisans also bring a variety to our market. Hula hoops, jewelry, play dough and much more. We are in our 4th season and have a diverse group of farms, homemade, home spun, and hand-crafted people who make up our family of vendors. This season’s opening day was July 2nd and end September 3rd. Our hours are Fridays from 3pm to 6pm. As the crops come in, Anderson Farm will be bringing in fresh vegetables & maple products. We also have herbs and more veggies brought in by Michelle who has a large variety of hand-made baskets - she cuts, splits, and uses her own wood-fibers and also has free-range eggs, herbs & flowers. Now we come to Fay and her delicious home-grown raspberries, blueberries and prepared jams & jellies - don’t miss her relishes and other tasty bake goods; she is also a wonderful quilt and fiber artist. Our local herbal lady, has the best working herbal bug spray. Lin makes all her own herbal potions from lip balms to facial items and bath salts and scent-filled potpourri & herbs. If you love candles, please sniff all great fragrances of the soy based candles that are not
only greener in their making but can soften your hands. We have some very crafty people. Jenny, She’s Crafty, can turn antique serving pieces into beautiful, unique gifts for yourself or someone special. MosaicTile
planter and birdbaths by other one of our talented vendors just sparkle in the sun. Our youngest vendor, Eleanor, has taken and framed breathtaking nature photos perfect for any home. There is something for everyone - other farm and craft vendors come and join us when their busy schedule allows. We have live music every Friday afternoon - so come enjoy a great afternoon, meet old and new friends and bring the children to play in our state of the art Velie Memorial Playground.
