Welcome to the 10th Annual Ranchlands Bull Sale

Wow !!! What a set of bulls these boys have put together for this year’s sale. As I toured through the bulls at Hall Cattle Company I was totally impressed with how much consistency of type the bull pen had. Not an easy accomplishment when there are 4 different breeding programs involved in this sale and approx. 50 bulls in the pen.

The front end of the red and black bulls definitely has the WOW FACTOR!!!!! and bulls that are possibly as good as they get. Bulls that have some power to them, they are big topped, big ribbed, soft made, soggy, hairy and have huge testicles.

The Fullblood division is equally as strong and doesn’t take the back seat to the Reds & Blacks, just fewer numbers to choose from. Bulls that look like bulls, they are sound footed, easy fleshing, natural muscled and big testicled.

We encourage you to bring your trailer and take your purchase home on sale day. Any bulls staying after the sale must be insured. We will deliver bulls for free within 200 km of home, more than that at cost. Delivery will commence in the days following the sale at the seller’s convenience. Sired by the calving ease bull, Red Force, 80D has the great muscle shape and spring of rib that seems to be consistent with the sire. I have a number of Red Force daughters in the herd, and all are great producers. No more semen is available on the Red Force bull so if you want a son, this is the last chance. The dam, 23B, was just a two year old and is a moderately made cow with an excellent disposition.

This bull has a number of my favorite herd bulls in his pedigree Reload, Visionary and Body Builder. He is just a super long bull with lots of width. He was born with just an 87lb BWT and posted a 856lbs WWT. I would think this would be the combination most of us are looking for in a bull. I believe this bull will gather some attention sale day.

The sire, Reload, has been a very good bull for me leaving solid made bull calves and moderately made functional females. I calved out 20 Reload heifers this year and all possess the most perfect ud-ders. 109D is very typical of a Reload son, long in body, smooth through the front with a nice clean polled head. This is a real rugged type of bull that has that easy keeping look about him. He may have one of the thick-est tops in the group and a very well balanced look. She has had only one heifer in her life and that heifer had the high selling bull the last two years.

Mr Duke is a bull that I have really liked since birth. Maybe it’s because his mother is one of my favorites. Last year a half brother was our high selling Fleck bull going to Circle E Grazing at Lomond. The previous year a full brother was again one of our high sellers going to the same place. Duke is wide topped with lots of guts and dark red with good pigmentation. I’m sure he will follow in his brother’s footsteps.

Domino is long, smooth headed and very clean through the shoulders. He has the big white stripe down his face, so you can’t miss him out there in the pen. His future, like his mother’s, is full of endless possibilities.

We purchased him in dam from the Round-Up Group sale in 2015 from Brian Miller. Radium seems to be a bull that is used more and more each year by purebred breeders. His dam is stacked with greats as well; Virginia Premierleague, the bull that did great things for the Okotoks Fleckvieh Group, Champs Romano and Gidsco Apollo to name a few. Dallan is a very smooth made solid black bull with a small blaze. Skors Joker is a bull we bought from Beechinor Bros. as a four year old. Dallan is wide down the top, thick through the middle with lots of guts. A type of bull that I would love to go to town with a trailer full of calves just like him.
