Aims of the project
I. To identify the various type of equipments of in the storage department of Guysuco.II. To outline the importance and uses of the equipments in the storage deparrtments.
III. To find out the impacts of the equipments of the storage department .
Objectives of the project
The objective is to identify various activities or tasks carried out in the organization and items that are being used and their impact on the orgainzation.
Function of the equipments in the storage deparrtments in Guysuco
I. To store sugar and ensure that all materias which are used in the orgainzation is placed in it’s correct order.These include supplies for manufacturing and operating process.
II. The packaging of materials being dispatched to customers from the finished product are to be kept and pack in the storage department.

CRITERIA 2 : GATHERING DATA
Methodology
Information was obtained on the 28/11/2014 from the Employees and the Pay boy (checker boy) and supervisior of Guysuco. In order for this project to be competed the questionnaire,interview and observation method were ued to collect informations.
Interview
The interview will take 10-20 minutes and a total amount of 8 questions, that was prepared and were all set for the interview. This method was used because it gives an immediate feedback.
Observation
The observation helps to validate inforamtion collected by the mean of the questionnarie and interview. In order to provide information on the use of equipments this method was used.
Observation schedule
Four (4 ) thing were observed :
Communciation skills Equipments used Attitude of the employee The behaviour of the clerk of the storage department
Questionnaire
the questionnaire consist of 15 questions, a total of s7 questionnarie were distrubted and 3 days was given for each person to complete the questionnaire. These copies were distrubted to the supervisior, pay boy, and staff members in the orgainzation.This method was used because the questionnqire is more time efficient because respondent can complete the questions in their own free time.

It went smoothy no one objected .
2014/10/21 Structured the questions for the printing of the questionnaire.
It was challenging but it was sorted out .
2014/10/23 The printing of the questionnaire. It went well but it was delayed.
2014/10/28 Visit the orgainzations to have a meeting with the manger.
It went smoothly and it was a amazing visit.
2014/10/30 Distribution of the questionnaire (they were given 3 days for the completition of the questionnaire.
It was wonderful meeting all sort of members in the orgainzation.
2014/11/3 Returned to Guysuco to collect the questionnaire .
It went smoothly and the resarcher didn’t had to wait for a long time.

Legislation
No smoking in the orgainzation
How the candidate became aware of the legislation:
A list of rules was placed on the wall. No smokin sign was placed at every danger zone .
Health and safety practices
Appropriate clothing for workers at different section of the orgainzation which incude gloves,uniform and helmets.
Staff rule which the candidate had to comply in carrying out the project
Everyone should be in a group and togetherwhen visiting the departments ,cell phone to be turned off and no touching of equipments and machineries.

CRITERIA 3: PRESENTATION
Report
The researcher decided to conduct an investigation at GUYSUCO ( ESTATE). The topic was “Equipments used in the storage departments”.T he investigation had conducted with the member of Guysuco such as Manager,Supervisior and Employees. They have provided all the answers to the questions asked and given. According to the researcher equipments used in the storage department are easy to used,cost effective and are secure.Files,t yping sheet, envelopes and pen etc these equipments are used for the necessary tasks to be carried out because of two functions of the storage departments which are storing and packaging of sugar or other materials. The duties of equipments in the storage departments are used to calculate gross pay for employees and store informations that will be used in the future.The researcher had found two attributes confidentiality and reliability which is Legislation governing laws from the orgainsation Is NO SMOKING.The were two documents used Pay slip cheques issued by the employers to the employees and time sheet.The electronic equipment used are computers photocoypers and printers.The researcher had faced one problem with the orgainzation which is that the staff workers was quitely harsh when collecting the questionnaire,But it was sucessfully completed.
