Contact details Make sure your address, email and contact details are correct on UCAS (or with NTU if you applied direct).
Add @ntu.ac.uk to your email Safe Senders list. Well send you important emails throughout the year.
Complete your offer Make sure you send any supporting documentation to NTU. Check your offer letter for any conditions youneed to meet.
Keep all your official letters together. Make copies and leave them somewhere safe.
Funding and money Check your tuition fees and how to pay them.
Arrange a good student bank account before you arrive.
Prepare a budget.
Get contents insurance for your stuff and make sure it covers things when they are outside your room (likebikes and ipods).
Open days Check if your course holds special Open Days for offer holders. Its a good opportunity to view the facilitiesand the city.
Accommodation Check the website for the dates you can apply for accommodation.
Make sure you know the process and payments required for applying.
Arrange your accommodation deposit. It will normally be payable at the time of booking.
Join the Starting at NTU accommodation messageboard to find possible new flatmates and friends.
Arrange a TV licence if you are bringing your TV.
Check the arrangements for parking and permits if you are bringing a car.
Check what kitchen equipment is already provided and make a list of what youll need.
Health Check with your doctor that your vaccinations are up-to-date.
Make sure you have enough of any prescribed medication to keep you going until you can register with theHealth Centre.
Enrolment Complete your enrolment online.
Complete any pre-course induction materials which have been sent to you.

Freshers Week Check the Starting At NTU website in September to download your Welcome Week Guide.
Make sure you know when your course induction is.
Be prepared! Keep your documents handy and leave copies at home in case of emergency.
Dont forget to pack Your certificates and university letters.
Your Student Loans, insurance and banking details.
Driving licence, birth certificate, passport, and National Insurance number.
Any prescribed drugs and your doctors letters.
Your football boots, guitar or other favourite pastime!
Spare passport photos.
Enough money for the first few days (until your loan comes through). 150 should be enough.
Maps of Nottingham and the NTU campuses.
Contact details for NTU and your accommodation.
Your laptop or computer. Remember to back it up beforehand and leave a copy at home, just in case!

Find friends Visit the Freshers Fair and join some clubs and societies to meet new people and friends.
