    Retaining members is one of the most difficulttasks a Circle K club faces. Whether its a lack ofservice projects, bad weather, or disjointedcommunication between officers and members,

    any of these things could cause potential membersto lose interest.

    But dont worry! There are several ways you can

    keep members coming back to your club meetingsand participating in service projects.

    Concisely inform membersabout upcoming serviceprojects and districtevents.

    Discuss previous service

    projects by having thosewho participated saysomething theyliked/disliked about theprojects.

    Have a mini project orgame ready. That way,your members can attendmeetings to obtaininformation and still doservice!

    Bring a dessert that youbuy or make yourself. It

    Invite any members ofnearby K-family branchesto your meetings, as wellas your clubs advisor.This simultaneously

    teaches K-family relationsand shows members thatothers care about themand their clubs success.

    Host alternative meetingtimes at lunch for

    members who cant makeregular meetings. This isalso a great way to knowmembers on a morepersonal level.

    Its important to have awide variety of serviceprojects to keep everyoneinterested.

    You can try to have morethan one service projectgoing on during the week,so that all members havesomething to do.

    Plan joint service projectswith other clubs (Habitatfor Humanity, other K-family clubs, etc.); this alsoincreases your exposure inthe community.

    Socials can be really simple;you dont need to plan a hugeparty or take a trip

    somewhere. Get a mascot for your club and

    let your members keep it for afew days or a week. Takepictures of your mascotvolunteering at your clubsprojects.

    Celebrate members birthdays(by month or semester)

    Member of the Monthprogram: Give one or two

    deserving members a rewardfor the hard work they did

    Some Social Ideas Have a potluck dinner or eat

    out at a restaurant

    You can communicate asoften as you deemnecessary.

    This also applies to peoplein the community and oncampus. This is a goodtime for recruitment and

    lets everyone know whatyour club is up to.

    club level!
