Since becoming At-

2008, Mike Smith has
established his team as
one of the NFL’s most
consistent performing
franchises that seem-
ingly always fi nds itself
in the national, play-
off discussion. During
Smith’s impressive six-
year run, the Falcons
have compiled a 61-36 regular season record, which is the
sixth-best mark in the NFL during that time, and have cap-
tured two NFC South Division titles. Atlanta’s .629 winning
percentage is the highest in team history over a six-year
period. Smith’s accomplishments in his fi rst six seasons
(2008-12) as Atlanta’s head coach are unprecedented
in team history and are among the best in the NFL when
measured against his coaching counterparts. He reached
the 50-win milestone in 71 games. According to the
Elias Sports Bureau, he was the third-fastest head coach
to accomplish the feat since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.

At the start of his tenure, Blank made a three-point com-
mitment to Falcons fans which he maintains today as the
leader of the franchise.
Put a perennially-winning product on the fi eld.Under Blank, the Falcons have earned six
postseason berths, including a trip to the
NFC Championship Game in 2004 & 2012
and two NFC South Division crowns over
the last three seasons. In 2010 & 2012, the
Falcons posted an NFC-best 13-3 record.
Provide a great game day experience. The Falcons and the Georgia World Con-
gress Center invested $53 million into
enhancements inside and outside of the
Georgia Dome, including new HD video
boards, suite and club seat renovations,
and red and black paint to give the Dome the look and feel
of the home of the Falcons.
Have a winning team off the fi eld and in the community. One of the hallmarks of Blank’s philosophy
is giving back to the community. The Fal-
cons’ community outreach eff orts are led
by the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation
(AFYF), the largest team-funded founda-
tion in the NFL. Since 2002, the foundation has awarded
more than $16 million in grants to more than 700 non-
profi t organizations.
BLANK’S COMMITMENTBLANK’S COMMITMENT
Since acquiring the Falcons in 2002,
Owner & Chairman Arthur M. Blank
has raised the bar and level of expec-
tations for the Falcons in construct-
ing a talented and creative team to
lead his club both on and off the fi eld.
In 2008, Blank looked to a rookie trio
to help rebuild his franchise hiring
Patriots Director of College Scouting
Thomas Dimitroff as his new General Manager, Jaguars’
Defensive Coordinator Mike Smith as his Head Coach
and approving the selection of Boston College quarter-
back Matt Ryan with the third overall pick in the draft.
In the six-plus seasons since
bringing in Dimitroff , Smith
and Ryan, the Falcons have
gone 61-36, which is tied for
the sixth-best record in the
NFL. Atlanta has also posted
fi ve consecutive winning sea-
sons and earned three con-
secutive playoff berths for the
fi rst time in franchise history.
Under Blank, the Falcons have
posted a 105-87-1 record and
a .547 winning percentage,
better than the .394 winning
percentage that the franchise
posted in the 35 years prior to Blank’s purchase of the
team.
MAN BEHIND THE CURTAINMAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Since Arthur Blank purchased the Falcons in 2002, the
club has sold out 95 of its last 97 home games, including
49 in-a-row dating back to 2008. With a sellout in Week
7 in 2013, the Falcons broke the franchise record for con-
secutive sellouts, when Atlanta sold out 43 straight games
from 2002 to 2007. The incredible support that fans have
shown the team during Blank’s tenure has helped the Fal-
cons to a 61-36 record at the Georgia Dome.

Last year, the Fal-
cons put a new link
in the connecting
chain with their fans
by introducing Rise
Up Atlanta, a partnership with Hands On Atlanta encour-
aging volunteerism across the city.
“Rise Up Atlanta extends the Falcons’ mantra of the last
two seasons to rising up in the community to make Atlanta
a better place to live,” Blank noted. “One of our core values
is giving back to the community and we wanted to provide
our fans, as members of the Falcons family, with a conve-
nient vehicle to join us in helping others.”

Since 2008, the Falcons have
posted a 37-12 record at the

RAVE REVIEWS“Arthur Blank clearly got it right when he hired Thomas Dimi-
troff and Mike Smith in 2008. The tandem is bright, energetic
and forward-thinking when it comes to physical and mental
conditioning, and no other general manager/head coach
combination has been more aggressive when applying today’s
technology toward tomorrow’s success. With Dimitroff and
Smith behind the wheel, the Falcons are well on their way to
becoming one of the NFL’s model franchises.”

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority and Atlanta
Falcons completed an agreement for a new retractable roof
stadium to be built on the Georgia World Congress Center
campus. Scheduled to open for the 2017 NFL season, the
new stadium will serve as the home of the Atlanta Falcons
in addition to Atlanta’s new MLS club, as well as conven-
tions, and entertainment events.
The Authority and Falcons have created a long-term solu-
tion for the region, state and Falcons by agreeing to a new
stadium on the Georgia World Congress Center campus.
The new facility will allow the Falcons to provide a league-
competitive game day experience for fans and ensure the
city and state are able to retain major events currently
held at the Georgia Dome as well as attract new marquee
events to the region.

To bring fans closer to the stadium experience as con-
struction gets underway, live streaming video of the new
stadium is now available through a webcam mounted on
the roof of the Georgia Dome. Visitors can view fi ve diff er-

stadium site, and are able to watch the progress of the
stadium 24/7.
Fans who are not currently season ticket holders and are
looking to reserve seating priority in the new stadium can

WATCH THE PROGRESSWATCH THE PROGRESS
History was made on May 19, 2014 when the Atlanta Fal-
cons, together with representatives from the NFL, Major
League Soccer, the City and State, broke ground on the new
Atlanta stadium set to open in 2017. The new $1.2 billion
multi-purpose stadium will be a state-of-the-art, iconic
sports and entertainment complex designed to attract
world-class sports, civic, cultural, and commercial events
and serve as a landmark for the city of Atlanta.
Refl ecting the cutting-edge, progressive vision behind
the new stadium project, the groundbreaking ceremony
was a high-tech, dynamic celebration. Falcons and MLS
Atlanta Owner Arthur Blank, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed,
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Major League Soccer
Commissioner Don Garber and Georgia World Congress
Center Authority Executive Director Frank Poe drove shov-
els into the ground as a pyrotechnic display erupted and
laser lights lit the sky from the new stadium site. To con-
clude the evening, guests were given 3-D glasses and took
a bird’s eye, multi-dimensional video journey through the
new stadium.
“Today is truly a celebration not only for the Falcons and the
new Major League Soccer team that will call this stadium
home, but for the City of Atlanta, the State of Georgia and all
of our partners who have worked so hard to make this project
a reality,” Blank said. “We are committed to providing our fans
and event guests with an unparalleled experience in the new
facility, and we’re equally committed to the long-term eco-
nomic growth and success of this great city and state.”
The 1,800,000 square foot stadium, designed by leading
design fi rm 360 Architecture, will accommodate seating
for 71,000 and will feature a fi rst-of-its-kind retractable
roof confi guration and an open air concourse. The innova-
tive, versatile and technologically advanced facility will be
truly iconic, showcasing other unique elements, including
a 60-foot high, 360-degree video board, a fl oor to ceiling
window with views of the downtown Atlanta landscape,
and exterior accent lighting refl ecting the event color
scheme. Also, essential in its planning, the new stadium
will represent the highest standards in environmental re-
sponsibility and will incorporate the latest in sustainable
and LEED advancements in design, construction and op-
erations.

NFL’s most respected talent evaluators. Since Dimitroff
overhauled Atlanta’s roster in 2008, Falcons players have
earned 20 trips to the Pro Bowl. Players acquired by Dimi-
troff represent 11 of those 20 trips, while his draft selec-
tions have earned fi ve trips to Hawaii.
Dimitroff ’s eye for talent ex-
tends beyond the NFL Draft
to college players who go
undrafted, also known as col-
lege free agents. The Falcons
have fi ve veteran players on
their active roster who were
originally signed as CFAs,
including LB Joplo Bartu, T
Ryan Schraeder, and LB Paul
Worrilow, players from the
2013 class of undrafted rook-

eran players, rookie James
Stone made the 53-man ros-
