10 tips to manage your scattered brain The Scatterpreneu aleshadrew.com /10-tips-to-manage-your-scattered-brain-the-scatterpreneu/ Having a scattered brain or as I would like to call it the “Scatterpreneur” was one of my biggest challenges when it came to online marketing and being an entrepreneur. The main reason for this scatter mindset I believe was due to the fact that there are so many ways to loose yourself online and get distracted. Many many marketing methods and strategies are surrounding you and it can be extremely distracting, ultimately leading you to become immersed in many things at once, resulting in getting nothing completely accomplished. I identified the challenge and I decided to do a little research to see if I could ‘cure’ my scatterpreneurship. Below are 10 helpful tips that I found that really helped me release myself of my scattered brain: 1. Make a to do list and prioritize This is the most obvious of tips however it cannot be stated enough. Make your to do list for the next day every night before going to bed. You must PRIORITIZE your list – your brain will then understand to stop stressing about the smaller things and focus on the bigger more important things. Making a to do list allows your brain to stop floating around with scattered ideas in your head, instead the brain now knows what needs to be done. 2. Break it down – steps of action Once you have made your to do list, you need to prioritize which 3 tasks are of the most significance. Choose one to start with and break the task down into the steps of action required to compete that task. 3. Start your task and stay at a steady pace Once you start a task don’t try and skim through it quickly. If you do this your brain will be focusing on what you need to do next instead of focusing on what your doing now. Take your time and get the first task done, don’t rush.

Having a scattered brain or as I would like to call it the “Scatterpreneur” was one of my biggest challengeswhen it came to online marketing and being an entrepreneur.

The main reason for this scatter mindset I believe was due to the fact that there are so many ways to looseyourself online and get distracted.

Many many marketing methods and strategies are surrounding you and it can be extremelydistracting, ultimately leading you to become immersed in many things at once, resulting in getting nothingcompletely accomplished.

I identified the challenge and I decided to do a little research to see if I could ‘cure’ my scatterpreneurship.

Below are 10 helpful tips that I found that really helped me release myself of my scattered brain:

1. Make a to do list and prioritize

This is the most obvious of tips however it cannot be stated enough.

Make your to do list for the next day every night before going to bed.

You must PRIORITIZE your list – your brain will then understand to stop stressing about the smaller thingsand focus on the bigger more important things.

Making a to do list allows your brain to stop floating around with scattered ideas in your head, instead thebrain now knows what needs to be done.

2. Break it down – steps of action

Once you have made your to do list, you need to prioritize which 3 tasks are of the most significance.

Choose one to start with and break the task down into the steps of action required to compete that task.

3. Start your task and stay at a steady pace

Once you start a task don’t try and skim through it quickly.

If you do this your brain will be focusing on what you need to do next instead of focusing on what yourdoing now.

Take your time and get the first task done, don’t rush.

4. Break time

Working non stop for hours upon hours is not a great way to stay focused.

After each task take a small break and do something else.

It could be a workout regime, reading a book, listening to an inner circle audio, whatever it may be makesure you take breaks when tasks are completed and then come back fresh minded to the next task.

5. Focus

Meditation is becoming a highly sort after activity which focuses on your breathing or a mantra.

I highly recommend this for those that need to train their brains to relax and focus on one task at a time.

6. Time yourself

Time yourself when working on a task. Don’t concern yourself with the actual time as this will distract youand you may find an excuse to pick up tomorrow instead of completing the task today.

Get yourself a stop watch and don’t stop until the timer goes off. Then take a break and repeat.

7. Don’t do anything else until your done

Don’t to anything else but the task at hand. Even if it takes you a few minutes to get going in whatever it isthat your doing, don’t shut off the timer, let it go and eventually you will get going.

8. Always move forward

If you happen to fall in a heap, it’s ok – don’t give up.

Analyze what you did, what went wrong and how you can improve on this and move on to the next task.

9. Time to reboot

Always give yourself free days where you focus on doing fun things with the people you love.

Your brain will then have time to reboot itself and in turn you will become revitalized, refocused andmotivated to come back fresh to your tasks the next day.

10. Fun

You always want what you are doing to be fun. You want to make your task entertaining for yourself.

Your results will always depend on your focus and energy.

Doing tasks that are effective and enjoyable will get you going and once your in it there’s no stopping you –your creative energy will flow.
