t is a matter of pride and privilege for me to state that the
ICampus has successfully entered into its 5th year. Most of
the infrastructure of the Campus has been completed. A
new academic block has been completed, which contains
class rooms, laboratories, seminar rooms, library and faculty
offices. A girls hostel, faculty hostel and a mosque would be
completed soon. During the last four years, the Sub Campus
Mianwali has made tremendous progress both in academic
and co-curricular activities with the dedication and hard work
of the faculty. Currently, more than 3500 students have been
enrolled and the campus is offering 22 various programs at
graduate and master's level. I am confident, in the coming
years, we, as a team of highly dedicated personnel, will open
up new vistas and avenues in the field of education and
research. We strive every nerves and muscles to transform
the Campus into the highest seat of learning. My prime focus
would be on academic excellence, research and innovation.
My team is committed to maintain its distinction in imparting
quality education, learning, research and other academic
activities. We plan to expand academic activity by launching
more programs in new disciplines. The Campus hosts a
unique community of students and staff dedicated to exhibit
the best possible. Our aim is to provide conducive
environment for pedagogy, research and public services. I
warmly welcome you for your new journey of life. Here, at the
Campus, we would try to add new colours to your life.

IntroductionThe University of Sargodha, Sub Campus Mianwali is the
continuation of vision and mission of the University of Sargodha. It
was established in 2012 on the directive of the Chief Minister of
Punjab. The campus had faced many challenges and sailed out
from them despite of many constraints. The campus has graceful
and magnificent admin block, academic blocks and laboratories.
It has continued to flourish and has achieved many laurels in
academics and co-curricular activities in short span of time. The campus is currently offering undergraduate and graduate
degree programs in Information Technology and Computer
Sciences, Management Science, Commerce, Urdu, English,
Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany and Mathematics. MS and
MPhil programs in social and natural sciences are going to be
launched in next academic years.A young scientist, Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Assistant Professor of
chemistry, working in University of Sargodha, Sub-campus
Mianwali, has invented a new chemical technique using novel
fluorogenic signaling probe. As a token of recognition, Dr.
Muhammad Saleem has been granted a Korean Patent entitled
“Triazole-based compound and composition for detecting
carbonate or bicarbonate ions” (Korean Patent No. P150729 / 10-
2015-0147130). This fluorescent signaling system can be
applicable to industry, diagnostic and various kinds of
environmental monitoring. The direct naked eye detection,
operational simplicity, costeffectiveness; high intrinsic sensitivity,
appreciable detection selectivity, high temporal resolution and
easy signal detection are the advantageous features of the
reported sensor.
Co-Curricular ActivitiesAt the Main Campus, in mainstream activities, students of the Sub Campus Mianwali are given due share in co-curricular activities. The students of the Campus have brought good name to the Sub-Campus in past.
SportsThe Campus has been organizing inter-departmental Sports Galas
since 2012 every year. Recently, a mega sports event was
organized by the Campus in which cricket, volley ball, tug of war
and badminton competitions were held. Abundant opportunities
of sports are available through the platform of Directorate of
Sports of the Main Campus.
